(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Ning’an City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Guan Lianbin Facing Trial

Mr. Guan Lianbin was scheduled to stand trial in the Daowei District Court on December 23, 2025.

2. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qi Hongmei Arrested

Ms. Qi Hongmei was arrested at home by several officers from Changyi City on December 19, 2025. They confiscated all her Falun Gong books and some cash.

3. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Shuxiang Tried in Her Daughter’s Home

Ms. Zhang Shuxiang, 76, was scheduled to appear in the Zhaoyuan City Court on December 17, 2025. Due to Ms. Zhang’s poor health, presiding judge Shao Axia and 12 others held her trial in her daughter’s home, where she was staying. No verdict was announced.

4. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Persecuted

Ms. Wen Guoxiang was recently tried. No details are known.

Ms. Shi Yulian has been indicted and is now facing trial.

Ms. Li Shufang was arrested on December 10, 2025, and released on bail later that night.

5. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Hualian Detained

Ms. Yang Hualian was arrested in a park in early December 2025 for talking to people about Falun Gong. She is being held in the Deyang City Detention Center.

6. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Yuhong Detained

Ms. Liu Yuhong and her two nephews were recored putting up stickers on utility poles by surveillance cameras in Changsha City. They were arrested on November 25, 2025, and taken to the Datuo Police Station. They were interrogated for several hours. Her home was ransacked that afternoon, and all her Falun Gong books were confiscated. Her younger nephew was released that evening. She and the older nephew were handcuffed and taken to the Datuo Police Department.

Ms. Liu was restrained in a chair in the Datuo Police Department and interrogated for several hours by three officers from the Datuo Police Station. She was still restrained in the chair even after being transferred to a cell.

Next evening, Ms. Liu and her nephew were taken to the Xingsha Lockup. She was detained for 15 days and her nephew for seven days. After releasing her on December 11, 2025, the police forced her to return to her son’s home in Xinhuang County instead of her own home or her mother’s home.

7. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ju Fangmei Arrested

Ms. Ju Fangmei from Mengyin County was arrested on November 20, 2025. She was released on bail the next day after posting a 10,000-yuan bail.

8. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Guang Detained

Ms. Wang Guang, 57, was arrested by officers from the Yuhong District Domestic Security Division and Yingbin Road Police Station on December 11, 2025. Her home was ransacked. She was placed under criminal detention the next day in the Shenyang City First Detention Center. She was released on December 19, 2025.

9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuhua Sentenced to Five Years in Prison

Ms. Zhang Xiuhua had been detained in the Harbin City Second Detention Center in 2024 and 2025. She was later sentenced to five years in prison and is now serving time in the Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison.

10. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Li Shuxia Arrested

Ms. Li Shuxia, 75, was arrested by Shengli Street Police Station officers on November 2, 2025. She was released later that day after being denied admission to the Yinchuan City Lockup due to her high blood pressure.

11. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Mr. Hou Shouyu Harassed

Mr. Hou Shouyu was harassed at home by the police and a village official on December 18, 2025. They searched his home and confiscated several articles written by the founder of Falun Gong.

12. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Deying Arrested

Ms. Zhang Deying was arrested at her daughter’s home on December 16, 2025, by Xinglong Police Station officers. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Zhang was arrested along with Ms. Shi Zhanhua by Xinglong Police Station officers on the evening of July 6, 2020, for distributing Falun Gong materials. The two women were released on bail later that evening. Their homes were ransacked. Their Falun Gong books, cell phones, and over 10,000 yuan in cash were confiscated. After their case was submitted to the Shizhong District Procuratorate in February 2021, they lived away from home to hide from the authorities. Ms. Shi was arrested again on December 2, 2024, and Ms. Zhang was arrested a year and two weeks later.
