For years, local practitioners have done the exercises in the park from 10:30 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. every Monday through Wednesday regardless of the weather. In addition to introducing Falun Dafa, they also tell passersby about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) ongoing persecution.

Natalia, an international student from Colombia, lives near Belmore Park. She often passes by the park and sees Falun Dafa practitioners doing the exercises. She became interested, and one day she asked to be shown how to do them.

To everyone’s surprise, Natalia was able to do all five sets of exercises on her first try. She even did the second exercise for half an hour and said she didn’t feel tired.

When they learned that this was the first time Natalia did the exercises practitioners onsite were pleasantly surprised and applauded her.

Natalia said she felt very relaxed and happy after practicing the exercises. Whenever she has time she comes to the park and does them.

Australian Students

Schools bring their students to visit Belmore Park for field trips. Many students stop and watch Falun Dafa practitioners do the exercises.

The practitioners talk with the supervising teachers, introduce Falun Dafa, and invite the students to try the exercises. Many teachers encourage the students to participate.

Groups of middle school students are often seen in the park learning the exercises and doing them with practitioners.

One of the practitioners who shows people the exercises said that it was very meaningful to let these young people come into contact with Falun Dafa because this can have a positive impact on their lives.

In addition to secondary school students, younger children also learn the exercises. A nine-year-old girl was walking through a park with her mother and grandmother. When she saw practitioners doing the exercises, she was interested and asked to learn.

The caregiver accompanying Antony explained that although he needs some help in his daily life, he is very independent.

A Young Man from Shenzhen Quits the CCP

Belmore Park is located in the heart of Sydney, and many people who visit it are from mainland China. Some watch from a distance as practitioners do the exercises, others take photos, or approach practitioners, take materials and learn about Falun Dafa.

A young man in his 30s from Shenzhen City from Guangdong Province came to the park and said he recently arrived in Australia. A practitioner told him about Falun Dafa and the persecution in China.

The young man listened attentively. The practitioner suggested he withdraw from CCP-related organizations and told him that he could use a pseudonym to declare his withdrawal. The young man decided to renounce his membership in the CCP’s Youth League with the pseudonym “Hope.”

Practitioners who do the exercises in the park say that every encounter with people is an opportunity to introduce Falun Dafa and tell them about the CCP’s suppression. They hope more people will learn the truth and benefit from Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.
