(Minghui.org) As Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples, many of us have followed Master Li Hongzhi on the Fa-rectification journey for the past 27 years. By now we should have become mature, and no longer cause Master to worry about us. Yet the reality is otherwise. Instead, we have caused our compassionate Master even greater concern.
Since the beginning of this year, there has been a steady rise in incidents across China involving Dafa disciples being arrested, harassed, detained, having their homes ransacked, becoming imprisoned, and sentenced. Below are a few examples:
- In Changchun City, authorities arrested at least 26 Falun Gong practitioners in July.
- Authorities conducted a mass arrest in Taiyuan City and Fenxi County in Shanxi Province on August 19, 2026. Officers from Xinghualing district in Taiyuan and the local domestic security brigade arrested 16 people. Five were Falun Dafa practitioners, the other eleven were family members of Dafa practitioners. The family members were all released after 24 hours.
- Between August 5 and September 5, 2026, nine Falun Dafa practitioners and two of their family members from Laishui County, Hebei Province were arrested, and had their homes ransacked . Those arrested include Dongsheng Zhang and his wife Jinying Liu, Wenling Wang, Chenglan Chen, Changsheng Zhang, Jianru Zhang, Xiuqin Li, Chunhui Li, Xiuqi Zhang and her non-cultivating daughter and son-in-law.
- In Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, during the eleven-day period from August 25 to September 4, 2026, a total of 45 people were reportedly harassed, three were detained, two were imprisoned, and one person remains missing. Gaocheng District was the hardest-hit area, with at least 17 people reportedly subjected to harassment.
- Around 8:10 p.m. on September 12, eight Falun Dafa practitioners in Linzhang County, Handan City, Hebei Province had just begun studying the Fa on the second floor of practitioner Song Zhenhai’s shop—the door to the main entrance on the ground floor had been left ajar. A few minutes later, two police officers from the Nandongfang Town Police Station burst in. They ran upstairs to the second floor, where they photographed the practitioners and questioned them. The eight practitioners were: Zhenhai Song, Qiufen Wang, Xingzhi Liu, Junxiang Wang, Junxia Ren, Meihua Liu, Ruiqin, and Lao Duan.
- Between August 2026 and September 17, 2026, officers from Gaoyi County police stations, officials from community offices, residential committees, and village committees consistently harassed Dafa practitioners. At least 17 practitioners were visited and intimidated at home, with some subjected to repeated visits, during which police officers or community personnel secretly took photographs or recorded videos. Practitioners were questioned about internet access, computers, printers and whether they were still doing Dafa exercises. Officers often used the pretext of “showing concern for practitioners” to pry into their personal lives. More broadly, Falun Dafa practitioners throughout Hebei have recently faced widespread harassment by local police.
There are many, more examples like this.
Witnessing these distressing events occur so frequently, I believe that every Dafa practitioner—especially those who have been arrested or harassed—should carefully look within and reflect on any attachments they have yet to let go of. Could serious loopholes remain, allowing the evil to exploit them and create the appearance of a severe situation? This, in turn, may lead people to commit grave sins against Dafa and Dafa practitioners.
By quieting my mind and looking inward, I found the following attachments that I still have not let go of: Attachment to time, age, fear and the desire to get through this final stretch of the journey smoothly and safely. I found myself unable to cultivate with the same dedication as I once had, unable to maintain unwavering faith in Master and the Fa, and unable to form an unbreakable whole when working with other practitioners. I found that I was holding on to many attachments, such as resentment, zealotry, jealousy, and others.
Reflecting on my current cultivation state, I realized that my outward behavior was just like that of the “foolish person” Master describes in Zhuan Falun. In this final stage, I must make a determined effort to completely eliminate my remaining attachments. By persevering in reciting, copying, studying the Fa well, sending forth righteous thoughts, and fulfilling my responsibilities in saving people, I can truly transform myself from the inside out and return home with Master.
