The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched an unprecedented persecution against Falun Dafa practitioners, who follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, on July 20, 1999. Practitioners have benefited from practicing Falun Dafa and are not afraid of the threats to their lives despite the authoritarian regime’s human rights atrocities. They use their cooperative’s strengths to spread the facts about Falun Dafa far and wide and expose the CCP’s heinous crimes.
Many Chinese people who learned about the CCP’s evil nature and its crimes against humanity have started to practice Falun Dafa. Some obtained the Fa late, but they are now on the front lines of saving sentient beings. Among them are community leaders, including teachers, doctors, singers, and students.
As they practice Falun Dafa and comply with the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, their moral character elevates. These practitioners consider other people first and take fame and personal interest lightly. As they elevate themselves, the environment around them changes as well. Their families become harmonious and happy. They become kind, friendly, and tolerant toward their colleagues and neighbors.
Some practitioners were illiterate before practicing, but were able to read all the Falun Dafa books. Some practitioners are ethnic minorities who didn’t know Chinese, but they can now speak and read Chinese fluently. Some students became very smart after they practiced Falun Dafa, because Dafa opened their wisdom. Some students developed a photographic memory, which deeply impressed their teachers. Some students received awards at the state and provincial levels. There are so many amazing things that have happened to practitioners after they learned Falun Dafa.
Thanks to the power of Falun Dafa, people keep coming to learn Dafa, and many more people have expressed support for the practice despite the brutal persecution in China.
Family members of practitioners who started practicing after the persecution began also firmly support them and have used various means to inform people about Falun Dafa and the wonderfulness of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
If the vicious persecution hadn’t happened, many more people in China could have been protected and blessed by Falun Dafa! The CCP damages and tramples universal values and has caused so many deaths. Despite the pressure, the tyrannical regime cannot crush practitioners' strong wills and their belief in pursuing Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Though the CCP has spread its influence throughout the world, a steady stream of people continue to take up Falun Dafa.
There are Falun Dafa practitioners across the world. Many more people will likely come to practice Falun Dafa in these difficult times. During the brutal persecution, more than 30 people around me started to practice Falun Dafa.
One day the dark clouds will vanish and the gloomy sky will become crystal clear. The light of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance will shine across Heaven and Earth. The world will become immensely beautiful and peaceful.
I’d like to share a few cultivation stories here. I hope that more people will see through the CCP’s lies, learn about Falun Dafa, and choose a bright future.
After the CCP initiated the persecution of Falun Gong, many local practitioners were detained and sent to a brainwashing center in another city where they went through the “forced transformation education.” Wen Ru (alias) was a manager of a large energy company. She was temporarily transferred to the brainwashing center as an assistant coach to “transform” practitioners.
Wen Ru witnessed the heinous persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in the brainwashing center. Practitioners were threatened with being sent to prison and forced labor camps. Some of them said, against their will, that they would stop practicing Falun Dafa and then cried miserably. One practitioner tearfully said to Wen Ru, “No matter what, you must remember: Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. Falun Gong is not wrong.”
Wen Ru realized that it was so hard for this practitioner to make the decision not to practice Falun Dafa. The practitioner told Wen Ru with determination and sincerity that, no matter what, to remember that "Falun Dafa is good." This incident left a deep impression on her.
However, Wen Ru was still misled by the CCP’s lies at that time. She didn’t know the truth about Falun Dafa at all. But the practitioner’s statement, “No matter what, you must remember Falun Dafa is good,” stayed with her. Whenever she thought of this incident, she felt there must be something she didn’t know.
An unexpected thing happened to Wen Ru later. Her husband, Wen Bin (alias), was a manager in a government organization. He was shocked after he listened to a Falun Dafa practitioner tell him about her personal experience of persecution in a forced labor camp. He started practicing Falun Dafa at the end of 2003 after he learned the truth about Falun Dafa.
Wen Ru was terrified after she found out. She knew how terrible the persecution was. It reached into every organization, street, community, and family. She tried to force her husband to give up Falun Dafa. He wouldn’t. She then argued and quarreled with him. She was on the verge of psychological collapse. Fear enveloped her. She felt that her family was facing a huge threat. She was thinking of ways to eliminate this hidden risk. She went to see the deputy director of her husband’s company, because he was close to her husband.
The deputy director then talked to Wen Bin. Wen Bin told him about the positive mental and physical changes he had experienced after practicing Falun Dafa. The deputy director was a clear-minded person. He was rational and kind. He read Zhuan Falun and encouraged Wen Bin to practice Falun Dafa at home but not to talk to people about it. The deputy director tried to persuade Wen Ru to stop preventing her husband from practicing.
She stopped arguing with her husband. Wen Bin now had a stable environment in which to practice Falun Dafa. Wen Ru gradually saw that her husband’s health had improved and he didn’t lose his temper so easily. He also recovered from insomnia and headaches.
Wen Bin joined local practitioners with Dafa projects. He helped buy consumables for the truth-clarification materials production site, made donations for making materials, and participated in rescuing practitioners who were illegally detained. He didn’t tell Wen Ru because he was afraid that she would worry about him.
Wen Ru was diagnosed with liver problems in the spring of 2006. She had unsuccessful surgery and was hospitalized twice. She was tormented by this illness. Wen Bin asked me to go see his wife. I told her that my husband had recovered from cancer after he practiced Falun Dafa. She started to read an electronic version of Zhuan Falun while she was in the hospital.
An amazing thing happened. Wen Ru started practicing Falun Dafa. She then supported her husband in doing Dafa work and even helped him with projects.
There was strict control in our area during the COVID-19 lockdown period. Wen Bin used his position and gave passes to practitioners for different residential areas. Practitioners distributed a lot of pamphlets in residential areas, allowing more people to learn the truth about Falun Dafa and providing them with information about how to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
Wen Ru and her husband also went through tests of their faith in Falun Dafa. Thanks to the power of Falun Dafa, they ultimately chose to continue practicing. They now firmly believe in Falun Dafa.
Wen Ru’s son started practicing Falun Dafa with his parents when he was in high school. His academic performance was excellent. He has good character and earns a good salary. He lives in one of the biggest cities in China. He has a girlfriend, and her family likes him very much. Wen Bin asked his son how he handled the issue of his belief. His son told him calmly, “This is an issue of principle. I told her from the very beginning that I practice Falun Dafa and let her decide. She supported me without hesitation.”
Tian Ming (alias) is a doctor of Chinese medicine at a hospital. When the persecution started, he was nearly 20 years old and had just passed the university entrance exams. He was planning to study in Japan. He picked up a DVD about Falun Dafa in the corridor of his residential building, and after watching it, he learned that the Tiananmen self-immolation incident was staged by the CCP to frame Falun Dafa. He wanted to learn more about Dafa, but he could not go home due to the COVID lockdown, so he stayed in another city. During that period, he was given the book Zhuan Falun and learned the five sets of Falun Dafa exercises.
When Tian Ming went home, his whole family opposed him practicing Falun Dafa. He was not moved. He kept telling them about the goodness of Dafa. After his family witnessed how much he had changed for the better, his sisters and other relatives, more than 10 people, started practicing Falun Dafa one by one. Several of them are teachers who now spread Falun Dafa in their work environments.
An extraordinary thing happened to Tian Ming. He studied Chinese medicine, was hired by a reputable hospital, and became a doctor of Chinese medicine. He says that he was blessed by Falun Dafa.
Hui Li (alias) was elegant and attractive. But she had a failed marriage and a failed business. She was tired of life and felt isolated. Hui Li didn’t know how serious the persecution was. She only understood that if the government didn’t allow people to practice Falun Dafa, no one would continue to practice.
While handling money for her business, she saw the words written on a bill: “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” As she read these words, she felt happy in her heart. She acknowledged to herself that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance was wonderful and wondered why the government didn’t allow people to practice Falun Dafa. She wanted to know more about Falun Dafa.
One day she went to a market to buy fruit. A male vendor held up a bill and said, “The bill looks so nice. Why did they print those words on it?” His mother nearby interrupted him, making Hui Li think this woman might know something about Falun Dafa. The woman asked her to come over to have a chat. Hui Li asked the woman if she knew anything about Falun Dafa. The woman said that she practiced Falun Dafa and told her how Falun Dafa elevates people’s moral character and has amazing healing benefits. The woman let her borrow a Falun Dafa book without hesitation. Hui Li started practicing Falun Dafa and started to tell people about how good Falun Dafa is.
Hui Li’s son, Da Wei (alias), was in high school when his mother started practicing Falun Dafa. He tried to persuade his mother not to practice, and he repeated the CCP’s lies. Hui Li asked him to read the book first before passing judgment. He spent a week reading Zhuan Falun and started practicing Falun Dafa with his mother.
Da Wei found a job in an enterprise after he graduated from university. He oversaw a major project for the company. People often sent him gifts and money when they were about to tender a project. Due to the fast-paced environment, he was busy with his work and with making money, and he slacked off in his cultivation.
Though Da Wei was successful at work and enjoyed fame and personal gain, he felt lost in his heart. He was not happy and felt that he was wasting his life. A sense of guilt often crept into his heart. He shared his feelings with his mother. His mother told him to practice Falun Dafa as if he had just started and to stand firm in cultivation. He decided to restart his cultivation and not lose himself in the muddy world.
First, Da Wei wanted to return the gifts of money he had received. He wanted to become a clear and kind person and not accept any bribes.
He made an appointment with someone to return 40,000 yuan ($5,978 USD) and clarify the truth to him. When Da Wei arrived at the meeting place, he saw an assistant policeman. He was frightened. What should he do? Should he clarify the truth to the policeman? He thought for a few seconds and decided to return the money and clarify the truth to him.
The policeman got into Da Wei’s car. Da Wei said, “Please turn off your cell phone. I’d like to talk to you.” The policeman switched off his cell phone. Da Wei told him that he would return the 40,000 yuan to him. The policeman was surprised and said that Da Wei deserved the money and asked him not to return it. Da Wei insisted on returning the money and told him why he must return it.
He said, “Someone told me how wonderful Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is and how retribution works: good will be rewarded and evil meets with retribution. People should comply with these universal principles. We should act righteously, and everything will go smoothly. Nowadays there are so many catastrophes and man-made disasters. The CCP has done so many evil things. Heaven will eliminate it. Everyone needs to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations so that they can have a good future.”
Before the policeman left, Da Wei said, “Please think about it after you get home. If you agree to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, please send your alias to my cell phone. You don’t need to say anything else. I will understand what you mean. I will help you quit the CCP.”
The policeman sent his alias to Da Wei the next day. Da Wei was very moved. The policeman understood the truth and had chosen a good future for himself.
Da Wei oversaw finance and account settlements for subcontractors. They often gave him gifts. On one occasion, a subcontractor gave him 5,000 yuan and hoped that Da Wei could help settle his accounts faster.
The amount was equivalent to a month of Da Wei’s salary. If he accepted the money, he could use it to buy things for his family and improve his life. It was very tempting. But he refused the money and told the subcontractor that he would help settle the accounts according to the process, and he would get the payment before the New Year.
On another occasion, this subcontractor gave Da Wei an envelope with 2,000 yuan inside to thank him for his help. He left before Da Wei could respond. He sent Da Wei a message hoping he would not refuse it. Da Wei knew that in this corrupt society, any manager would accept bribes. But he is a Falun Dafa practitioner and could not follow this trend. Da Wei transferred the money back to the subcontractor’s bank account.
Da Wei, who is in his 30s, requires himself to behave according to Falun Dafa’s principles, to resist temptation, and to be honest and composed. Practitioners become extraordinary people in this muddy society as a result of practicing Falun Dafa.
Yu Ying (alias) is a teacher. Her husband is the director of the Education Bureau. Yu Ying suffered from serious heart problems and her life was in a precarious state. Her mother and elder sister suggested that she practice Falun Dafa in 2005.
After she started practicing, Yu Ying’s son, younger sister, brother, and his wife, nieces, and a nephew all started practicing.
When her nephew was in middle school, his classmate visited his home and saw Master’s photo. The classmate asked him whom they worshiped. Her nephew told him that they worship Buddha. The classmate didn’t say anything further.
Yu Ying’s niece told people who visited her home that Falun Dafa is good. She also said that they have Master’s photo at home.
Her nephew and nieces believe that Falun Dafa has opened their wisdom and gifted them with amazing talent for painting. They can paint lively pictures such as mythical beings, mountains, and water. Her two nieces went to university. One niece in particular achieved high academic scores, especially in the painting course. She has been blessed by Falun Dafa.
Yu Ying’s nephew is now a teacher in a public school. Her son started practicing Falun Dafa when he was in university. Every time he calls his mother, the first thing he says is “Falun Dafa is good.”
Her husband supports her practicing Falun Dafa. Whenever he encounters hardship, he sincerely recites “Falun Dafa is good,” and has overcome many difficulties this way.
The above stories are remarkable, as people followed their conscience and started to practice Falun Dafa despite the practice still being severely persecuted. They are truly amazing. The power of Falun Dafa and Master’s immense saving grace is all the more admirable and respectable. Falun Dafa has remolded its practitioners, people who are willing to sacrifice anything for the truth.
I hope all sentient beings will come to truly understand the goodness of Falun Dafa.
