(Minghui.org) In Guadeloupe, as elsewhere in France, the month of September provided an opportunity for associations to introduce themselves to the public through events organized by local municipalities. Falun Dafa practitioners were invited to demonstrate the exercises and introduce the spiritual practice to the public.
Practitioners participated in events held in Petit-Bourg, Sainte-Anne, Capesterre-Belle-Eau, Sainte-Rose, and Basse-Terre from September 12 to 26, 2026.
This was the first time some people heard about Falun Dafa. Many said they were deeply appalled to learn about the persecution and cruelty inflicted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) on practitioners in China. Some signed a petition, while others wished to learn more about Falun Dafa.

More than 80 associations participated in the association fair held at the Laura Flessel gymnasium in Petit-Bourg on September 12, 2026. Many people went to explore the various associations and speak with the representatives.
While he visited the various booths, David Nebor, mayor of Petit-Bourg, talked with a practitioner at the Falun Dafa booth.

A couple, accompanied by their two children, also stopped to speak with practitioners. They explained that they were originally from the island of Réunion. The husband belongs to the third generation of a Chinese family that settled in Réunion, and his great-grandfather fled China when communism took power.
On Saturday, September 19, 2026, the town of Sainte-Anne—a seaside resort renowned for its magnificent beaches—hosted an association event at the Sully Barny gymnasium, located in the Douville district. This year, the event was centered around the theme of tradition.
Most visitors were unfamiliar with Falun Dafa and were unaware that a practice site for these exercises has existed on the town’s beach since 2001. Practitioners told people about Falun Dafa and raised awareness of the CCP’s persecution. Many people signed the petition to end the persecution in China, including the state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting from practitioners while they are alive.

Practitioners were invited to three separate events on September 26, 2026—in Capesterre-Belle-Eau, Sainte-Rose, and Basse-Terre. Capesterre-Belle-Eau is a town in the southern part of Basse-Terre. Many people stopped at the Falun Dafa booth to learn about the practice and the CCP’s persecution. They were pleased when they were told there is a practice site on Roseau Beach. Many of them signed the petition that condemns the CCP’s forced organ harvesting.

In Basse-Terre, the capital of Guadeloupe, practitioners were invited to host a booth in the afternoon at the site of the former Campenon Middle School. Neighboring exhibitors expressed interest in Falun Dafa and listened attentively to an introduction to the practice and signed the petition after learning about the persecution and the CCP’s forced organ harvesting.

Member of the European Parliament Rody Tolassy, who has taken a clear stand in support of the practitioners persecuted in China, stopped by the booth at Capesterre-Belle-Eau and signed the petition on September 26.
At the event at Capesterre-Belle-Eau, a practitioner was interviewed by a local radio station, a TV station, and the event’s organizer.
In Sainte-Rose, a practitioner was interviewed by the local radio station, Sofaïa. The radio hosts asked many questions about Falun Dafa, its benefits, and the reasons behind this inhumane persecution. The practitioner introduced Falun Dafa and talked about the CCP’s persecution.

Before the event concluded, a practitioner also spoke from the stage. The host, who was already familiar with the practice, asked several questions about it and the benefits it offers. The final question was: “Why is Falun Dafa banned in China? Could you tell us about that?”
This provided an opportunity for the association members, visitors, and organizers to hear a detailed explanation of why the CCP persecutes Falun Dafa.

Practitioners demonstrated the exercises on September 19 at Sainte-Anne. Visitors and members of the various organizations watched and listened to explanations about the practice. Afterward, they gave the practitioners a warm round of applause.
Some organizations also expressed an interest in contacting practitioners and arranging introductory sessions at their facilities.

As soon as the booth was set up in Sainte-Rose on September 26, other exhibitors came to learn about Falun Dafa—some said they recognized the practice and said they saw practitioners do the exercises at Les Amandiers beach every Sunday morning.
A young girl told a practitioner, “I’ll take a flyer and give it to my grandmother who is Chinese.”

By the end of September, several people learned the exercises at various practice sites across the island.
