(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 12 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

4. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zheng Kaiping Arrested
5. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Xiaolian Arrested
6. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Huizhe Detained
7. [Muling City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhou Xiuzhen Detained
8. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Xinhua Arrested
9. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners and Two Family Members Detained

1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhou Haiyan Facing Trial

Ms. Zhou Haiyan was arrested on February 28, 2026. She was scheduled to stand trial in the Pulandian District Court on October 20, 2026.

2. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Pan Qiang Facing Trial

Mr. Pan Qiang was arrested on May 25, 2026, and has been held at the Donggang City Detention Center since. He was scheduled to stand trial at the Zhen’an District Court on October 16, 2026.

3. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Pan Jing’s Lawsuit Against Social Security Bureau for Suspending Her Pension Heard

The lawsuit filed by Ms. Pan Jing against the Dandong City Social Insurance Center for suspending her pension payments was heard by the Zhenxing District Court on October 16, 2026.

4. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zheng Kaiping Arrested

Ms. Zheng Kaiping was arrested at home by four officers from the Malan Police Station and the Pingdu City Domestic Security Division on October 12, 2026. They confiscated all of her Falun Gong books, two radios, a media player, and several USB drives. She was taken to the police station and released that afternoon on three-month surveillance, after the police extorted 30,000 yuan from her husband.

5. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Xiaolian Arrested

Xiaolian (nickname), 66, was arrested at home by officers from the Liaoning Province Police Department on October 12, 2026. Her home was ransacked.

6. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Huizhe Detained

Ms. Wang Huizhe, 58, was arrested at home by six officers from the Renmin Road Police Station on September 17, 2026. The police claimed that she was recorded while distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in a residential building. They ransacked her home and confiscated 60 Falun Gong books, two photos of Falun Gong’s founder, a computer, four media players, three USB drives, five memory cards, two packs of white candles, and one unopened pack of sandalwood incense. She was given 10 days of administrative detention at the Hengshui City Lockup.

7. [Muling City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhou Xiuzhen Detained

Ms. Zhou Xiuzhen was taken to the Hailin City Detention Center on October 13, 2026.

8. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Xinhua Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xinhua was arrested at home by Dongshan Police Station officers on October 14, 2026. Her husband, who doesn’t practice Falun Gong, was also taken to the police station. The couple were released in the evening.

9. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners and Two Family Members Detained

Mr. Zhang Xiuqi, 79, was arrested at home on August 5, 2026. His daughter and son-in-law, both of whom don’t practice Falun Gong, were also arrested. His daughter and son-in-law were released in September after posting a 10,000-yuan bail bond. Mr. Zhang remains at the Laishui County Detention Center.

Two other practitioners, Mr. Zhang Lianguang and Ms. Liu Jinying were also arrested in August 2026. They are detained at the Laishui Detention Center and Baoding City Detention Center, respectively.
