China Fahui | Cultivating Ourselves and Validating Dafa Through Our Small Business

Nov. 5, 2026 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) Greetings, Master. Greetings, fellow practitioners.

My mother and I began practicing Falun Dafa in 1999. She was in her early 30s, and I was a young child. For 27 years, we have walked hand in hand on our cultivation journey. We are not only family members and colleagues but, more importantly, fellow practitioners.

Today, I would like to use Minghui to share our cultivation experiences with our revered Master Li and fellow practitioners.

My mother runs a business with a clientele that includes professionals in the public security, procuratorial, judicial, and legal systems. After graduation, I joined her company. It is a very small operation—consisting of only a handful of people—all of whom practice Falun Dafa.

In our daily lives and work, we hold ourselves to the standards of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. We put our clients’ interests first, and earn our living through honest labor. We’ve built a strong reputation with our clients and earned recognition from their organizations. Most are willing to refer new customers to us, and when they transfer out of their positions, they introduce their successors to us.

I have selected a few highlights from recent years to share with you.

Distributing Informational Materials to Police Officers

Through her work, my mother met a police officer named Jiang. She later learned that he worked at a local labor camp where Falun Dafa practitioners were being persecuted, and that his atrocities had been exposed on the Minghui website.

My mother gathered various informational materials about Falun Dafa and the persecution, took them to the residential complex where he lived, and asked the security guard at the entrance to give them to him. Since then, there has been no further word about his involvement in the persecution of Falun Dafa.

In early 2000, my mother went to the Provincial Prison Administration Bureau to submit some invoices. She had a few stickers with messages about Falun Dafa in her handbag and stuck one inside the elevator at the bureau. When she left, she took a different elevator down.

As soon as she stepped out, she saw a group of special police officers rushing toward her, guns drawn, shouting, “We’re going to catch this Falun Dafa practitioner today and beat him to death!” While silently asking Master for protection, my mother quickly walked away. She still had some stickers in her handbag.

As she passed through the first-floor lobby, a female police officer at her post stood up and kept staring at my mother’s handbag. But the officer seemed frozen in place; it wasn’t until my mother had left that she snapped out of it. By then, my mother had ridden away on her bicycle. Thinking back on it now, it still sends a chill down my spine. Although the situation was perilous, my mother emerged unscathed under Master’s watchful care.

Saving Predestined People at the Tea Room

Our company has a tea room. In addition to entertaining clients, we use it daily to study the Fa and practice the exercises. Sometimes we bring out Master’s portrait, offer incense and fruit to it, and feel that the energy field there is very strong. Many of our friends, people who don’t practice Dafa, enjoy coming by to relax; they find it very comfortable. As the seasons pass, this tea room has also become an excellent venue for us to clarify the truth.

In our work, we come into contact with people from the public security, judicial, and correctional systems, suppliers, the State Security Bureau, and provincial security departments—a wide variety of people, all kinds of characters. We must maintain the right mindset—we know that everyone who enters our lives is connected to us by fate, and that Master arranged it so we can share the truth with them.

A young man in his early 30s, named Ying, worked as a regional manager for a manufacturing company. When we first met him, he was dealing with a host of troubles—most notably, the construction project for the apartment he had purchased with his hard-earned savings that had stalled, leaving the building unfinished.

As we chatted, the conversation gradually turned to Falun Dafa. It turned out that he had already met a woman at a train station in his hometown who had shared some facts about Dafa with him. Thanks to that earlier encounter, he quickly grasped the significance of quitting the CCP and its affiliated youth organizations and readily agreed to do so. He also accepted the facts about Falun Dafa, nodding in agreement as we spoke.

Later, he got married, and he and his wife had twins; his life took a turn for the better. He eventually left his job, but he would often say he would come by and visit us again.

Through our work, we met Officer Cai from the Security Bureau, whom a retired senior official referred to us. When we first met him, we sat down for tea and chatted. He said, “The Communist Party is being far too harsh on Falun Dafa.” About six months after we got to know him, my mother and I were arrested for distributing truth-clarifying materials during a province-wide, coordinated persecution campaign.

We were released after 24 hours of interrogation. Cai continued to maintain professional contact with us. Later, I searched the Minghui website and found that he shared the same name as the head of the provincial 610 Office. My heart skipped a beat—my intuition told me it was the same person.

I remember the last time I saw Cai at the tea house. He had a red cell phone then, which he left on a shelf near the entrance and didn’t bring into the tea house. We gently explained the truth to him, telling him that in the Buddha school, one must not take life—let alone commit suicide.

He listened, muttering his own line of reasoning, and finally, as if he’d completed a task, he said nothing more, stood up, and left. We haven’t seen him since then; he handed the relevant work to another young police officer, Jia, who became my point of contact.

Master Is In Charge

One day, I delivered a package to the Security Bureau. A group of people stood inside the gate, watching me as if I were a major threat. Even after I turned to leave, I could still feel the unfriendly, intense stare of Jia, the new contact person.

We continued doing business with them, always prioritizing validating the Fa. For some shipments, to ensure quality, we were willing to make no profit or accept a smaller profit margin, focusing on handling the delivery with genuine care. We chose goods that suited their needs, rather than focusing on making more money.

Over time, they grew to trust us more. Whenever we delivered their order, they greeted us at the door with a smile. Cai, initially coldly polite, began expressing sincere gratitude and even introduced me to his colleagues.

The authorities had tampered with my mother’s ID card, so she was routinely harassed by railway police whenever she took the high-speed train. She also faced malicious inspections while flying. A couple of years ago, due to work requirements, she had to drive with some non-practitioner friends to a city very close to Beijing.

At a highway checkpoint, everyone was required to get out of the car for ID checks. But my mother stayed in the car. She sent righteous thoughts and asked Master for blessings—she couldn’t let her non-practitioner friends form a negative impression of Dafa.

By the time the others finished the inspection and got back in the car, the police realized someone had not left the car. Just then, the driver stepped on the gas and drove off. We know that Master had once again protected Mother.

One day, my father—who isn’t a practitioner—reprimanded my mother and me, saying, “Business is already tough, and yet you two are doing things like this (referring to our distributing truth-clarifying materials). Who will dare to do business with you in the future?”

The CCP installed two security cameras at our workplace, and our relatives were too afraid to visit us, worried they might be dragged into trouble.

In the interrogation room, the police threatened us: “You’re involved in this (referring to our practice of Falun Dafa)—do you want to do business in the future?”

Neither my mother nor I were swayed by the threats; we remained indifferent. In cultivating Dafa, Master is in charge and has the final say.

Working On a Project Is Also Part of Cultivation

Two years ago, we unexpectedly landed a major project. A project like this wouldn’t normally have come our way—we’re just a small company—and at first, they didn’t think much of us, believing we lacked the necessary capabilities. Yet through a series of unexpected twists, we ended up with the project.

Most people found this hard to believe; they assumed we must have had powerful connections or spent a lot of time networking to secure such a project. In reality, we didn’t do any networking; we simply invited people to dinner out of courtesy so they wouldn’t leave on an empty stomach.

In addition to us, two intermediaries were involved in this project. The first intermediary we contacted, Feng, was reportedly the child of a high-ranking official. Whenever things didn’t go smoothly during the project, he walked away, and stopped answering calls or replying to messages. He disappeared without a trace.

I remember clearly that at one point, Feng just threw up his hands and quit. We couldn’t reach him. Seeing him act this way, we figured the project was doomed—that it would fall apart—even though we had already invested tens of thousands of yuan in it.

I studied the Fa and shared insights with my mother. I also realized that my concerns about personal gain or loss, and my attachment to self-interest, were attachments I must eliminate.

Master said,

“… one should tell the truth, do things truthfully, become a truthful person, return to the original, true self, and in the end, become a true person through cultivation.” (Lecture One, Zhuan Falun)

Following Master’s requirements, I strive to set right my relationships with others and adjust my mindset—continuing to work, even beyond my capacity, without expecting any return.

Just then, a phone call came in. Someone connected to Feng had found our contact information online and reached out, expressing a sincere interest in collaborating and moving the project forward.

I responded, “Very well, I will prepare a proposal by this evening.” At the time, I was seven or eight months pregnant and usually worked until 10 or 11 p.m. Outside of work, I studied the Fa; I didn't feel tired. Dafa granted me wisdom—whenever a seemingly insurmountable challenge arose, Master instilled the solution in my mind, enabled me to carry it out, and helped me resolve the issue.

Halfway through the project, Feng swindled us out of several million yuan and then disappeared. The money included advance payments from the government and funds we had borrowed against our personal assets. It was intended to purchase goods, and failing to deliver on time would result in severe penalties. We eventually resolved the matter and terminated our agreement with Feng.

We had no contractual agreement with the second intermediary, Zhu. At that point, had we chosen to disregard him and cut him out of the deal, we would have earned an additional 10 million yuan. Yet we did not.

As practitioners of Falun Dafa, we follow Master’s teachings to be good people and to “trade fairly and maintain a righteous mind.” We signed a contract with Zhu, agreeing to the previously discussed commission rate and allocating all surplus funds to him. Relieved, he remarked, “It’s fortunate that I met you. This project’s success is all thanks to you.”

We told both intermediaries the truth. When Feng mentioned that his mother was in poor health, we suggested she try practicing Falun Dafa because it is highly effective for improving health and fitness. He replied, “I wouldn't dare, sister—the government doesn’t allow it.” Later, Feng even told the friend who had introduced us that, although we practice Falun Dafa, we are truly good people.

I didn’t have much contact with the second intermediary, Zhu, because I had just given birth. My mother had brought up the topic of faith with him over dinner and had indirectly mentioned the truth about Dafa. He is a Christian and strongly believes that people should have their own faith, but when the conversation went any deeper, he became a bit evasive. They had both investigated us and may have known we were Falun Dafa practitioners. However, given their positions, they didn’t say much out loud, though they understood everything in their hearts.

Cultivating Dafa Is a Blessing

This project is connected to the “saving of people” in the general public; it serves as a resource for that purpose. Master has entrusted this project to us so that, in the process, we may cultivate ourselves and validate Dafa. It also allows ordinary people to see that those who practice Dafa are truly blessed—contrary to the claims made by the CCP regime.

Our success has caused a stir among our relatives, who whisper behind our backs, “How are they still able to take on such big projects and earn money?”

My father was deeply angered by the fact that he, too, was implicated and suffered persecution twice at the hands of evil forces—including having his personal freedom restricted when he was taken to the local police station.

My husband, who does not practice, had been diagnosed with infertility; we had been married for nearly seven years without conceiving. During one Lunar New Year, my father remarked, “Since you two are such devout believers, why don’t you ask your Master to grant you a child?” Not long after that, I became pregnant, which must have shaken my father.

One day, a local community police officer was taking my mother to a detention center. In the police vehicle, he asked her, “Ma’am, you’ve been so successful in your career—why are you involved in this?”

My mother replied, “You’ve spent years handling cases at every level; among all the people you’ve encountered who have committed wrongdoing, has even one been a Falun Dafa practitioner?”

He paused for a few seconds, lost in thought, then said, “That’s true—there really haven’t been any.”

Looking back on more than 20 years of cultivation, we recognize many shortcomings and regrets—times when, out of fear or excessive caution, we missed opportunities to save those with a predestined connection. In recent years, the evil forces have used people to follow and monitor us, which has made it more difficult to tell people the truth about Falun Dafa and to save sentient beings.

Yet, with Master and the Fa here, we are certain to overcome the interference and persecution. We will steadily and effectively walk the path of validating the Fa and saving sentient beings, ultimately reaching Consummation and returning home with Master.

Thank you, compassionate and great Master.

Thank you, Minghui, for providing us with a platform for sharing.
