Fulfilling My Mission to Clarify the Facts

(Minghui.org) I suffered from many illnesses before practicing Falun Dafa (Falun Gong). I was only in my thirties when I sought medical treatment everywhere, but my health never improved. After I began practicing Falun Dafa, all my longstanding illnesses disappeared in a short time. I also grew stronger and became increasingly energetic. My career flourished, and those I knew were surprised by the changes in me.

Business Associates Learn About Dafa

One of my clients, Jing, was a branch general secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in a garment factory. She was also in charge of purchasing supplies for the factory. The first time she came to my company to purchase goods, I tried to talk with her about Dafa, but she said apologetically, “Let’s just do business and not talk politics.” When I offered her informational materials, she did not dare to accept them.

In our business dealings, I treated Jing sincerely, ensured the quality of the goods, and always considered her interests. I would sometimes enthusiastically offer suggestions and help her find ways to make full use of the items purchased to lower costs. She was deeply touched.

Jing once said to me, “You’re an upright and kind person who always thinks of others. There are very few trustworthy people like you nowadays.” I told her that I follow the principles brought forth by my teacher, Master Li Hongzhi. Falun Dafa teaches Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and those who practice this great way are all good people. I let her know that the information spread by the CCP on radio and television was not the truth. When we parted, I gave Jing two booklets and suggested that she read them carefully at home. This time, she readily agreed.

Some time later, she returned to purchase more goods. I seized the opportunity to clarify the facts about Falun Dafa to her again. She listened calmly and raised questions about issues such as the Self-Immolation on Tiananmen Square and the April 25th appeal. I also gave her DVDs of Shen Yun performances and the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Jing replied, “I’ll definitely watch them!”

After I talked to her on several occasions, her thinking changed considerably, and she agreed to quit the CCP and its organizations. With her cooperation, the chief accountant in her company and three other employees also withdrew from the CCP organizations.

Helping People Understand the Basic Facts

As I talked with people, I realized that, although some had withdrawn from the CCP and its organizations, they did not understand the truth about the staged Tiananmen Self-Immolation incident or Dafa practitioners’ appeal to the government on April 25, 1999. Some even said, “Falun Dafa shouldn’t get involved in politics and shouldn’t go against the CCP.” On the surface, these people had already withdrawn from the CCP, but their fundamental notions had not changed.

Master Li said,

“It’s as I just said—the three withdrawals aren’t the goal, but rather, it’s to save the person by clarifying the facts to him or her.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2016 New York Fa Conference”, Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. XIV)

I came to understand that when helping people understand Dafa, I should not pursue numbers but should focus on achieving the best results. Therefore, when advising people to withdraw from the CCP, whenever circumstances permit, I try to sincerely tell them the basic facts about the persecution, and let them speak for themselves.

I once began talking to an older gentleman who said, “You promote Falun Gong and oppose the CCP. Aren’t you afraid the police will arrest you?” I remained unmoved and told him, “I’m not asking you to oppose the CCP. I’m simply telling you the truth about the injustice done to Falun Gong. You look like an upright and kind person who can distinguish right from wrong. You may even have held a fairly high leadership position. I’m taking up just a little of your time today. Please try to listen to me, as this can only benefit you.”

He asked, “What was the Tiananmen Self-Immolation Incident all about?” I patiently explained it to him. I then moved on to explain the April 25th, 1999, appeal, the Hidden Character Stone in Guizhou, and other related matters.

In the end, he held my hand tightly and asked, “Did you graduate from Tsinghua University? Everything you’ve said makes solid, practical sense. I’ll take your advice and withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations!”

I replied, “I only attended elementary school. It was Master Li who opened my wisdom and cured all my illnesses. Here is a book that contains several short stories about people who had miraculous experiences after regularly reciting the phrase, ‘Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’” He thanked me profusely.

Being Patient and Never Giving Up

For more than 20 years, I have kept my mission foremost in my mind and patiently and thoroughly talked to people about Dafa without fearing how trying it might seem. Predestined people must have an opportunity to understand the truth. I try explaining things from different angles until they understand the truth and voluntarily withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

Stories Of People Who Came to Understand Dafa

A retired military officer and I were neighbors when he was in active service. We trusted each other and had a close relationship. In 2005, I clarified the facts about Dafa to him and his wife, but they both became frightened. Not only did they refuse to listen, but they also told my wife that I had spoken to them about this. I failed to help them understand Dafa and brought trouble upon myself instead.

Afterward, I looked within, seeking where I had failed. First, I had not studied the Fa well enough; my cultivation level was insufficient, and I did not have a clear understanding of the Fa principles. Secondly, I had been too eager for quick results, so I was unable to move others with righteous thoughts.

A few days later, it was the Dragon Boat Festival. I brought fruit and rice dumplings and visited my neighbors again at their residential compound. This time, I began by discussing the moral decline in today’s society, the corruption of officials at every level in China, the spread of counterfeit goods, and how humanity had reached the brink of imminent destruction. I sought to awaken their consciences and kind thoughts. They agreed with much of what I said.

I then asked, “Why are so-called ‘once-a-century’ natural and man-made disasters occurring year after year now? Why did Jiang Zemin, the former CCP leader, mobilize the machinery of the state to suppress Falun Gong and boast that it would be eradicated within three months? Falun Gong was not eradicated. In fact, it has spread throughout the world.” I then handed them two DVDs titled Wind and Rain: Journey Through Heaven and Earth and Now and For the Future, asking them to watch without any preconceived notions.

Some time later, I visited them again, and they told me, “We’ve watched the DVDs. Is everything in them true?” I seized the opportunity and explained more basic facts about Falun Dafa and gave them two more DVDs, one about the staged Tiananmen Self-Immolation incident and the second about the April 25, 1999, appeal to the government. I also told them about the changes I had experienced after practicing Falun Dafa, as well as some of the extraordinary things that have happened to me. Their attitude changed a lot, and they expressed their approval.

On the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival, I brought gifts to them. We talked for nearly two hours. When I advised them to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations, the retired officer said, “China cannot move on without the CCP. Besides, the CCP has treated us well. We cannot betray it.” Before leaving, I gave them a copy of the booklet, the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.

I firmly believed in the mighty virtue of Dafa and did not give up. I continued to clarify the facts to them. Over the course of more than a year, I visited their home more than 10 times. The doubts in their hearts were finally dispelled, and they completely understood the truth. Tears filled the retired officer’s eyes. He said, “Thank you for caring so much about us. We’ll both withdraw.” I immediately suggested pseudo-names to help them submit their withdrawals from the CCP online.

Their son was a military officer who had transferred to a civilian position and worked in a municipal government office in another city. When he returned home to visit, I also helped him withdraw from the CCP and its affiliate organizations.

In August 2018, a fellow veteran introduced me to a police station chief, who had served as an officer in the military headquarters. While enlisted, he was hardworking and had been recognized as an outstanding officer many times.

When I clarified the facts about Dafa to him, he was extremely resistant and refused to listen. Fortunately, we lived in the same residential community, and I took the initiative to interact with him whenever opportunities arose. After I repeatedly discussed the facts with him, his thinking gradually began to change. And as we continued to interact, we came to understand each other and became good friends.

He was concerned that I might be persecuted and repeatedly reminded me to be careful. Whenever the police stations planned an operation, he would quietly inform me. I also reminded him not to participate in the persecution. He said, “Don’t worry. I know what I’m doing.” I was truly happy to see these encouraging changes in him.

However, because he had been so deeply poisoned by the CCP, he still refused my advice to withdraw from the CCP organizations. He would often say, “I’m still working in the police system. Let’s talk about it later.” I analyzed the reasons he was unwilling to withdraw. First, he was fearful of the CCP. Secondly, I had not yet clarified the facts thoroughly enough, so he did not have a proper understanding of the importance of withdrawing from the CCP.

I wanted to help him break free from the lingering poison of the communist specter. He was off duty one day, and I explained in detail how Falun Dafa had spread throughout the world. I also shared extraordinary experiences that had happened to the friends around me who had withdrawn from the CCP. We spoke openly and frankly about everything. After an entire morning of discussion, the knot in his heart was finally untied. He agreed to use a pseudonym to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

To my surprise, he even brought his wife, an elementary school teacher, to visit me and asked me to clarify the facts to her. After our discussion, she readily agreed to withdraw as well. When we parted, he gave me a portable DVD player. I offered to pay him for it, but he refused to accept the money.

I’m grateful for Master’s compassionate salvation. Precious people who were deeply poisoned by the communist specter came to understand the truth and chose beautiful futures for themselves and their families!
