(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Baozhi Faces Trial

6. [Qingzhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qiu Lihua Arrested
7. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Arrested or Harassed
1. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Baozhi Faces Trial
Ms. Wang Baozhi was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong in July 2025. She was subsequently arrested and taken to the Nanhu Police Station. Her home was ransacked. She was later indicted by the Xuanwu District Procuratorate. The Xuanwu District Court scheduled a hearing on her case for February 4, 2026.
2. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yuan Airong Arrested
Ms. Yuan Airong went to Shanghai at the end of December 2025 to visit her son. While there, she put up stickers containing Falun Gong information and was recorded by surveillance camera. The Shanghai police tracked her down when she returned to Yantai City.
Ms. Yuan was arrested on January 23, 2026, by officers from the Lijiaoqiao Police Station in Yantai. They ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and a radio. She is being held at the Fushan District Detention Center on criminal detention.
3. [Lingshui County, Hainan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Liu Shumei; her daughter, Ms. Wang Yaochen; Ms. Liu Yihe, a native of Jilin City, Jilin Province; and an elderly female practitioner, were arrested on January 2, 2026, after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong.
The four practitioners were taken to the Lingshui County Criminal Investigation Team for interrogation for two days, and then transferred to a detention center. Ms. Liu Yihe was denied admission due to her physical condition and she was released on bail after paying a 1,000-yuan bond. The other practitioners were released days later.
The police ransacked the practitioners’ homes on January 19 and confiscated their computers, cell phones, and an electric car worth 120,000 yuan. Ms. Liu Shumei and Ms. Wang have been taken back into custody.
4. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Shuyi’s Home Ransacked; Ms. Chen Shuting Arrested
Seven police officers broke into Ms. Chen Shuyi’s home on January 23, 2026, and ransacked the place. They confiscated her computer, Falun Gong books, and other items.
Days earlier, the police had also arrested Ms. Chen’s sister, Ms. Chen Shuting. She fainted in the hospital and was then released.
5. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Song Hong and Her Son Mr. Wang Jianquan Arrested
Mr. Wang Jianquan was reported to the police for distributing Falun Gong materials. He and his mother, Ms. Song Hong, were arrested at home on January 16, 2026, by Tiedong District Police Department officers. They were detained for 15 days and released on January 31.
6. [Qingzhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qiu Lihua Arrested
Ms. Qiu Lihua was arrested in January 2026. The police ransacked her home and confiscated two Falun Gong books. She was detained for five days.
7. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Arrested or Harassed
Ms. Fan Wenfang was arrested at home on November 7, 2025, by a group of officers from the Hongshi Forestry Police Department. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books. She was detained for 15 days. The police continued to harass her after she was released.
The police also broke into Ms. Liu Lan’s home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and a tablet containing Falun Gong lectures. They installed surveillance cameras around her home to monitor her.
Ms. Bai Zheyun was not at home when the police came to harass her. They called her a few more times after that. She has been forced to live away from home to avoid being arrested.
Ms. Zhou Yunxiu’s home was ransacked in December 2025. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books and photos of Falun Gong’s founder.
