(Minghui.org) Minghui.org previously reported that at least 44 Falun Gong practitioners in Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region were arrested by over 200 officers on November 2 and 3, 2025, and that 11 of them are facing indictment for their faith.
This report provides additional information about the arrests.
Among the 11 Facing Indictment
Eleven of the arrested practitioners are facing indictment by the Xixia District Procuratorate. Except for Ms. Li Mengying, who is out on bail, the remaining ten practitioners are held at local detention centers, including Ms. Mao Minwu, Mr. Ding Qian, Mr. Li Tianyuan, Ms. Shen Dongmei, Ms. Liang Yuhua, Ms. Zhao Lin, Mr. Xie Yiqiang and his wife Ms. Li Jinhua, Ms. Li’s brother Mr. Li Shilin and his wife Ms. Zhu Lin.
Mr. Li Tianyuan was visiting Mr. Ding on November 2, 2025, when the police knocked on the door. Mr. Ding ignored them, and they pried open the door. He condemned the police, and they pushed him down. He suffered a tailbone injury and is still not healed today. He and Mr. Li Tianyuan are held at the Yinchuan City Detention Center.
Ms. Li Jinhua had rectal bleeding, but the procuratorate denied her lawyer’s request to have her released on bail. Her husband Mr. Xie, her brother Mr. Li Shilin, and her sister-in-law Ms. Zhu, who were arrested on November 2, 2025, also remain in custody. The police put a seal on Ms. Zhu’s rental home. The lease expired during her detention, but the police refused to remove the seal. As a result, her family could not move out, and the landlord was unable to rent the unit to new tenants.
Ms. Mao had just stepped outside of her apartment building on November 2, 2025, when one officer suddenly put her in a choke hold from behind. She tried to get away, and two other officers rushed out of their cruiser to hold her down on the ground together with the first officer. They searched her and seized her key. Her home was then raided. She found out later that the police had secretly entered her home multiple times before and installed a surveillance camera behind a wall painting. She is being held at the Yinchuan City Detention Center.
New Information about Other Practitioners Arrested on November 2, 2025
Mr. Wang Xiangchen had his laptop and notebooks confiscated during his arrest on November 2. He was released hours later. One report said that his wife Ms. Luo Xiangping was also arrested and soon released, though that remains to be confirmed.
Mr. Zhao Hengde was released within 24 hours of his arrest on November 2. While in detention, he asked the police repeatedly to help empty his urinary catheter bag. No one responded until he called out in protest.
When the police broke into Ms. Yang Xuehong’s home on November 2, her 80-year-old mother tried to stop them from seizing a copy of Zhuan Falun, the main teaching of Falun Gong. The police still confiscated the book and arrested Ms. Yang and her husband Mr. Liu Haixun (a previous report listed his name as Liu Haixiong). The couple were released one week later.
Mr. Chen Baozong, 76, and his wife Ms. Li Lanfeng, 70, were initially released after their arrests on November 2. They noted several plainclothes officers staking outside their home for three days. As soon as they returned home on November 21, a group of officers barged in. They produced a search warrant but couldn’t say what was the legal basis for the home raid. They told the couple, “That’s something you are not supposed to know!”
The police also claimed that they came to complete the “unfinished business from November 2.” The couple were taken to the local police station for interrogation and released in the evening.
One Harassed on November 2, 2025
Ms. Yu Hongrong was harassed at home on November 2. Her husband and daughter condemned the police for persecuting law-abiding citizens, and the police replied that they were conducting a city-wide sweep. They raided the home but did not arrest Ms. Yu.
Husband Arrested on November 30, Wife Barred from Going Out of Town
Ms. Pan Yiyuan works out of town. The police called her one day and ordered her to return to Yinchuan or they’d go to her place to arrest her. She returned to Yinchuan on November 30, 2025, only to be arrested as soon as she stepped in the door. Her home was raided, and the police ordered her to not leave Yinchuan for six months.
The police next raided her husband Mr. Yang Xiutian’s rental home and took him to the Daxing Town Police Station. He refused to sign the interrogation records and was detained for seven days.
