(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

6. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Jing Chengying Arrested
7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Qingmei Arrested
8. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Arrested
9. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Guixiang and Ms. Sun Guiying Arrested
10. [Tianjin] Mr. Kong Fanwei Abused in Prison

1. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Song Dandan Arrested

Ms. Song Dandan was arrested by police and 610 Office agents on March 9, 2026.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Jiang Xiuyu and His Wife Ms. Yang Hongyan Arrested

Mr. Jiang Xiuyu and his wife, Ms. Yang Hongyan, were arrested on March 2, 2026, at their temporary residence.

3. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Du Jiqun Admitted to Prison

Ms. Du Jiqun was sentenced to four years in prison by the High-Tech Zone Court in 2016 for talking to people about Falun Gong. Due to her poor health, she was repeatedly denied admission to the prison. However, on February 24, 2026, officers from the High-Tech Zone Domestic Security Division arrested her at home and took her to the Weifang City Detention Center. She was admitted to the Shandong Province Women’s Prison two days later.

4. [Bayan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhu Chonghua and Mr. Wan Guojun Tried

Ms. Zhu Chonghua and Mr. Wan Guojun were arrested by the Bayan County Domestic Security Division officers in July 2025 and have been detained ever since. They were tried in the Yilan County Court on March 2, 2026.

5. [Zhangwu County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xiong Suxiang Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Xiong Suxiang was arrested at home by Zhangwu County Police Department officers on September 18, 2025, after surveillance cameras recorded her putting up Falun Gong posters. They confiscated her Falun Gong books, photo of Falun Gong’s founder, and computer. Minghui.org recently confirmed that she was sentenced to three years and has appealed.

6. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Jing Chengying Arrested

Ms. Jing Chengying was arrested by four officers from the Shahe Police Station on March 9, 2026. Her home was ransacked.

7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Qingmei Arrested

Ms. Yang Qingmei was reported to the police for distributing Falun Gong materials. Officers from the Shangyuan Road Police Station Police located her home through surveillance camera footage. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, computer, and printer. She was arrested on February 9, 2026. Due to her high blood pressure, she was released later that day.

The police arrested Ms. Yang again on March 10 and detained her at the Shenyang City First Detention Center.

8. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xiuqin was arrested at home by more than a dozen officers from the Laizhou City Domestic Security Division and Wenchang Road Police Station on January 13, 2026. They pried open the door and broke in. They confiscated her personal items related to Falun Gong. Four practitioners who had gone to her place to study the teachings of Falun Gong together, including Dong Ping, Ms Hu Yufen, Wang, and Liu, were also arrested and their homes were ransacked.

The five practitioners were taken to the Yantai City Detention Center. Dong was released the following evening. Ms. Zhang and Ms. Hu were released on bail on January 16 after each paid a 2,000-yuan bail bond. Liu was released at an unknown time.

9. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Guixiang and Ms. Sun Guiying Arrested

Ms. Wang Guixiang and Ms. Sun Guiying were arrested in late February 2026. It’s not clear if they have been released.

10. [Tianjin] Mr. Kong Fanwei Abused in Prison

Mr. Kong Fanwei was sentenced to eight years in prison and is now serving time in Binhai Prison. In mid-May 2025, Ning, a team leader of the prison guards, and Sun, a sub-team leader, ordered Mr. Kong to renounce Falun Gong. When Mr. Kong refused, Sun slapped him in the face. In late May 2025, Sun demanded that he renounce Falun Gong again. When he still refused to comply, Sun slapped him in the face again.
