Germany: Event Held in Munich to Introduce Falun Dafa and Expose the Persecution in China

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held an event in Munich, Germany’s third-largest city, on April 25, 2026 to commemorate the peaceful appeal in Beijing 27 years ago. Passersby praised the event, and some Chinese students and tourists agreed to sever ties with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) after they heard how the regime mistreats practitioners.

After dozens of practitioners were arrested in Tianjin, about 10,000 Falun Dafa practitioners peacefully gathered in Beijing near the Central Petition Office, requesting their release on April 25, 1999. Then Premier Zhu Rongji released the detained practitioners, and practitioners left the site the same day. However, CCP leader Jiang Zemin launched a nationwide suppression three months later.

Through the practitioners’ consistent efforts, more people learned about the situation in China. Johanna, an artist who walked by the event at Marienplatz, said she had previously heard about the persecution. She praised the event and said she hopes the persecution will end soon.

Artist: Falun Dafa Is Peaceful

Artist Johanna stopped and chatted with a practitioner at the booth at Marienplatz.

“I like your activity very much, and I encountered something similar several years ago,” she said. “Your event is very serene and peaceful.”

For 27 years, the CCP has been suppressing Falun Dafa practitioners for their faith. “I think the CCP is doing that out of fear, but they wish to stop people from practicing,” Johanna continued. “This is typical behavior for a totalitarian regime.”

Johanna signed a petition urging to stop the persecution, and she said she hopes people will sign it. “It is important to raise awareness so that people would hear what is going on,” she explained. “When people know the facts, they will take action. I think our collective efforts will change the situation.”

Falun Dafa’s Principles Are Important

Moritz Planter chatted with a practitioner and signed a petition that called to end the persecution. He agreed with the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. “They are important and I hope more people could follow them,” he said. “Your event is peaceful and wonderful.”

He also said this is why he can’t understand why the CCP suppressed Falun Dafa for 27 years. “This is totally unacceptable. People have the right to choose what to believe. It’s wrong for the CCP to persecute such a peaceful group.”

Both Planter and his friend Liang Cheng support human rights. “Falun Dafa practitioners need help and we should work together to counter the CCP,” he explained. “When more people do this, the world will change. I hope that day comes soon.”

Witness: The CCP’s Brutality Leads to Its Destruction

Ms. Pan, 89, attended the event and recalled the peaceful appeal that she participated in 27 years ago. “The CCP promotes class struggle and brutality, it is thus unable to tolerate traditional values such as Falun Dafa and the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” she said. “But we know the upright will prevail. So the CCP will not succeed.”

People have gradually seen the CCP’s true nature. “People in more than 100 countries practice Falun Dafa and they know Dafa is good,” Ms. Pan explained. “As this persecution continues to be exposed, Chinese people will gradually wake up.”
