(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 12 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Tai’an City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Zhaochun Arrested

Mr. Li Zhaochun from Manzhuang Town, Daiyue District was arrested by Tianping Police Station officers on the afternoon of April 5, 2026.

That day, Mr. Li was talking about Falun Gong to a man at his shop and urging him to withdraw from the Communist Party, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers. The man said nothing and simply left. A short while later, he returned wearing a police uniform, accompanied by another officer, and they forcibly took Mr. Li to Tianping Police Station. Ms. Li’s wife, worried about him, went there with him.

Mr. Li and his wife returned home that evening. Mr. Li was arrested again the next morning. It was reported that he was detained for 12 days.

2. [Taiyuan city, Shanxi Province] Mr. Zhou Hua Held in Custody

Mr. Zhou Hua was arrested at home on March 26, 2026, by Gulou Police Station officers. He is being held in Taiyuan First Detention Center. His current situation is unclear.

3. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Du Jing Harassed

Community officials broke into Ms. Du Jing’s home on April 4, 2026 and harassed her, asking if she still practiced Falun Gong.

4. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Guo Shuwen Arrested

Ms. Guo Shuwen was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong in February 2026. Nanming District Police Department and local police station officers, accompanied by community management personnel, broke into her home on February 10 and ransacked the place. They confiscated Falun Gong books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. They also arrested Ms. Guo. She was handcuffed and detained for 15 days for refusing to cooperate with the officers. After returning home on February 25, community police officers and community management personnel came to her home and harassed her again.

5. [Chongqing] Ms. Ye Dongling Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Ye Dongling, 53, was arrested at home by Jiulongpo District Police Department officers. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, a computer, a printer, and other items. She was taken to the police station for questioning, and subsequently taken to Qingmuguan Detention Center in Shapingba District. She was released and brought home on March 12, 2026, by police officers.

At present, officials continue to harass Ms. Ye from time to time. They have asked her to attend a seven-day study session beginning on April 9.

6. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Yuhe Faces Charges

Mr. Liu Yuhe from Jilin City, Jilin Province was reported to the police while talking to people about Falun Gong on January 2, 2026, in Lingshui County, Hainan Province. Officer Song from the investigation unit called to notify him to go to the Lingshui County Criminal Investigation Division on April 6. Song also told Mr. Liu that his case had been turned over to the procuratorate.

7. [Qian’guo County, Jilin Province] Several Practitioners Harassed

Officers from Baiyilaga Township Police Station broke into Ms. Liu Fuyan’s home at Section Five of Hongguang Farm a little past 9 a.m. on March 26 or 27, 2026. Two officers held Ms. Liu by the arms, while another officer, holding a camera, tried to take pictures of her. She shouted, “It’s against the law for you to trespass on my property without cause and force me to be photographed!” The officers were unable to take pictures. They also harassed several other practitioners, including Qu Jinlan, Tang Xifu, Qiu Yuanwen, and Pan Guihua.
