(Minghui.org) I began to practice Falun Dafa in 1996, and I am now 77 years old. Throughout my 30 years of cultivation, I have been able to firmly and steadily walk the path of assisting Master in rectifying the Fa and saving sentient beings. When clarifying the truth about Dafa, I have always felt Master beside me, giving me wisdom to find and correct people’s misunderstandings of Dafa. As a result, many people have accepted my words, received Dafa’s salvation, and now have a bright future.
Here, I want to share my most profound experiences, to report to Master and share with fellow practitioners.
When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Dafa in July 1999, its non-stop slander of Dafa misled many people. I was outraged that such a good practice was defamed, and that practitioners, who are truly good people, were brutally persecuted. I knew that Dafa requires practitioners be good at home, in the workplace, and in society, by following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. And I knew that many practitioners regained their health after practicing Falun Dafa, thereby saving the government huge medical costs. Aren’t these good things for the country and its people? I felt indignation that such a good practice was being maligned, and wanted to tell everyone that Falun Dafa is good.
I wanted to clarify the truth from the bottom of my heart, so I talked to everyone I met. One time, I ran into my classmate, and she said to me, “You’re glowing with health. You still look young.” I told her that I had benefited from practicing Falun Dafa. When she heard “Falun Dafa,” she stopped me right away and said she was afraid.
I told her the facts about Dafa, and said, “What is shown on TV is fake, and you shouldn’t believe it. I have firsthand experience. I suffered from severe rheumatism and cervical spondylosis, and the doctors couldn’t help me. But I recovered after I started practicing Falun Dafa. Now I am free of illness, and I feel great.” I noticed the surprise on her face, and I continued, “Falun Dafa practitioners value their lives, and we would never do things like the self-immolation. Those people who set themselves on fire on TV are not Falun Dafa practitioners. The CCP staged the self-immolation to incite hatred against Falun Dafa. Practitioners are forbidden to kill, not to mention commit suicide.”
Something clicked in her mind, and she said, “So that’s how it is!”
I added, “You see, I am healthy and enjoy my life. Can you imagine that people like me would commit suicide?”
She looked at me and replied, “I know now. I won’t believe those lies anymore.”
At my class reunion, I clarified the truth to my classmates. They all believed me when they saw how good I looked. Many of them learned that Falun Dafa is good and quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
After studying Master’s supplemental teachings, I realized that my initial mindset in clarifying the truth to people was that I was doing it out of a sense of injustice for Dafa. I felt what was being done to Dafa was so unfair, and I viewed the persecution as man-made. Then I changed my mindset.
As the Fa-rectification progresses, Master has asked practitioners to do the three things well. I feel even more strongly that clarifying the truth and saving people is the mission and inescapable responsibility of Dafa disciples. To better shoulder this responsibility, we must study the Fa well, cultivate ourselves well, and improve our xinxing. Through studying the Fa, my notions changed, and I no longer clarified the truth about Dafa to seek justice like before. Instead, I treated people like family, and told them the truth about Dafa with a compassionate heart because their lives are precious.
From Master’s lectures, I learned that many divine beings came to this world and reincarnated into humans, and they are all Master’s relatives. It would break my heart if they were eliminated because they did know the truth about Dafa. I don’t want to miss any opportunity to help them learn about Dafa and give them the chance to be saved. It was due to Fa study that my mindset changed, and I realized I needed to save people using righteous thoughts instead of coming at it from a sense of injustice.
I clarified the truth wherever I went, including large streets, small alleys, warehouses, local markets, construction sites, train stations, and bus stations. When I saw someone across the street or in a car that I couldn’t talk to, I said to them in my heart, “Please remember: ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’”
One day, I went to an antique market to clarify the truth to people. I met a Daoist who was selling herbal wine. He looked like a clean-cut and upright person. I said to him, “You are a Daoist, so you cultivate truthfulness. Therefore your herbal wine must be real.”
He replied, “Yes. My family urgently needs money, so I brought out my home-made herbal wine to sell.” Then he asked me, “Do you understand cultivation?”
I responded, “Yes. I practice Falun Dafa. Have you heard of it?” He asked me what it was. I explained, “Falun Dafa is a high-level cultivation practice in the Buddha school that cultivates one’s character according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. It is the most fundamental practice to cultivate Buddhahood.” He looked curious, so I continued, “Let me recite one paragraph of On Dafa for you, and you will understand.” As he listened, he gave a thumbs-up, praising Master’s Dafa. I said to him, “Falun Dafa is a righteous cultivation practice, and has spread all over the world. But the CCP is persecuting it in China. Now, heaven will eliminate the CCP. One must renounce any memberships in the CCP’s organizations to not be implicated. Did you join the Communist Youth League?” He said he had, so I advised him to quit.
He agreed, and said, “Falun Dafa is so good, and the CCP still persecutes it. I want to quit!” I was happy to hear that and told him that reciting “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” would bring him good fortune.
He pressed his palms together and said, “Thank you!” I asked him to thank Master, and he said, “Thank you, Master!”
One time I was waiting at a bus station and noticed an elegant lady who was also waiting for the bus. I said to her, “You have such a refined demeanor. Do you have a belief?” She told me that she was a Christian. I continued, “My Master said Jesus is a very good God who was crucified on the cross for saving people.”
She replied, “You’re right. Auntie, you know so much. Do you also have a belief?”
I replied, “I practice Falun Dafa, which is the most fundamental Buddha Fa of the universe. It teaches people to cultivate their character and elevate their morality according to the highest characteristics of the universe: Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. It is a path to Buddhahood.”
She responded, “I don’t quite understand what you are saying.”
I said, “I can recite the first paragraph of On Dafa for you. Then you will understand what Falun Dafa is.” She was shocked after I recited On Dafa, and said that Falun Dafa was great. I continued, “But such a great practice has been brutally persecuted by the CCP. Many practitioners have been sent to labor camps or prisons and tortured for refusing to give up their belief. Some were taken to psychiatric hospitals and driven to the point of mental collapse and became disabled after being injected with unknown drugs. Even more appalling is that the CCP has been harvesting organs from practitioners for transplant tourism and huge profits. The CCP is utterly inhuman, like a demon. Heaven will eliminate it. People need to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations to ensure their safety.” Then I asked her, “Have you joined the CCP? I can give you the name Shenyou [meaning ‘divine blessing’] to quit.”
She replied, “Good. I quit. I like the name Shenyou. It is my online chat name.” She wanted to learn more about Dafa. I asked her to find a local practitioner to get more information. The bus came, and I got on, but she turned around and walked away. I understood she was not waiting for the bus; instead, she was waiting for me to help her learn the truth about Dafa.
Another time, around the Chinese New Year holiday, the practitioners from our Fa study group went to a market to distribute truth-clarification calendars, couplets, and pamphlets. We quickly ran out of everything we’d brought with us. When I had only one calendar left in my bag, I saw a police officer walk toward me with a smile. He seemed very kind and his smile seemed to say, “I know what you are doing, but I won’t bother you.”
I approached him and handed him the calendar. He was surprised and said, “Oh, you want to give one to me, too!”
I replied, “A kindhearted police officer also needs to be saved!” He accepted the calendar. I asked him, “Have you joined the CCP? I can give you a pseudonym to quit it and to have a good future.”
He quickly responded, “Good! I quit.” Then he left with a smile on his face.
There are many stories like this. Master gave me the wisdom to help these people, and Master helps me to cultivate and achieve success at the same time. Everything is done by Master, and all credit goes to Master and Dafa. Going forward, I will study the Fa more, look inward, eliminate human notions and attachments, and do the three things well. I want to be a true cultivator and live up to Master’s expectations.
