(Minghui.org) A 75-year-old woman in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, is facing prosecution because she practices Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Ms. Liu Suqin was arrested at her home by five officers on May 2, 2026. They confiscated more than 30 Falun Gong books and ordered her to go to their police station. They promised to return her books and let her go home as soon as she signed a document. She went with them, but they took her to the Qinhuangdao City Detention Center.

The police later revealed that they arrested Ms. Liu because she was found to send information about Falun Gong on the social media platform Kwai. They submitted her case to the Lulong County Procuratorate on June 9.

Ms. Liu’s lawyer visited her on June 11 and submitted the Power of Attorney that afternoon. Two police officers interrogated Ms. Liu at the detention center that afternoon to collect additional information about her case.
