Seizing Every Opportunity to Validate Dafa While Learning to Drive

(Minghui.org) I’m a 60-year-old government employee. I began practicing Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) in 2010 and, shortly afterward, all my illnesses disappeared. I truly felt that my body was light and free of disease. I cherish this opportunity, which comes around only once in thousands of years, and consider myself the most fortunate person alive.

I introduced Dafa to my relatives, friends, classmates, and coworkers. I’ve also mailed truth-clarification letters to the police station and acquaintances, and teamed up with veteran practitioners to distribute informational materials, as well as talk to people face-to-face about the persecution. Under Master Li’s protection, I have safely made it through to this day.

Telling People the Facts at Every Opportunity

About 10 years ago, I wanted to learn how to drive but gave up on the idea because both my husband and daughter disapproved. Then two years ago, while planning a trip abroad, others said it would be a good idea to learn to drive, so I enrolled in a driving school.

The day before taking Part One of the driving test (the rules of the road), my nephew said, “I’ve never known anyone your age who tried to learn to drive. Do yourself a favor and let me cancel your test.” I declined and reassured him that I could do it.

Part One was computer-based (and easily passed). Part Two (the off-road driving skills test) and Part Three (the on-road driving test) were both hands-on. At first, I regretted registering for them, because the driving school was far away, and I would have to take a taxi at 6:30 a.m. every day to get there. Each course lasted 10 days, with only three to four 10-minute driving sessions each day.

I hesitated, thinking that even people in their 20s often had to take the subjects two or more times before they could pass all the tests. At age 59, I would likely find it challenging.

I then thought, “I’m a Falun Dafa practitioner. I will pass no matter what. I should validate that practitioners are extraordinary, that we can achieve twice the results with only half the effort.”

A practitioner can cultivate in any environment. About 10 to 20 people attended the classes on daily basis. They were mostly young people whom I normally would not have had the chance to meet. It was a great opportunity to connect with them and help save them. I knew that Master had arranged for me to meet these predestined people.

It turned out that my neighbor was a teacher at the driving school, and I was able to ride with him every day. Through him, I became acquainted with the owner and his wife. The owner offered me the use of an office computer to practice simulation tests. My neighbor exclaimed, “The owner is very kind to you. He’s never allowed any other student to do that!”

I replied, “That is because of you. I should thank you!”

The owner of the school later had a serious work accident, which resulted in a severed Achilles tendon and artery. A makeshift tourniquet was applied to his leg, and my neighbor drove him through several red lights to get to the emergency room. He had surgery to repair his tendon and artery, then had to recover at home.

When I heard about this, I decided to visit him and tell him about the persecution. I brought fruit and protein powder, but he wasn’t home that day. His wife was there, so I told her that I practiced Falun Dafa and that it is a high-level, Buddha school cultivation practice. I told her that millions of practitioners’ personal stories have testified to Dafa’s miraculous effects with improving health.

I also told her that sincerely reciting “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” can keep one safe from calamity. She accepted what I said and agreed to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. She thanked me and said she would convey everything to her husband.

During the following six weeks of training at the driving school, I clarified the truth to more than 30 people, including other students, a driving coach and his wife, as well the owner’s wife and her mother. It was a pity I did not have the opportunity to talk to the two office employees.

Kindness Can Help Save People More Effectively

I brought lunch to the school every day and often shared my food with the other students. They said I had a kind heart and was a good cook. Sometimes, I swapped my training session times with those who were in a hurry. I wanted to leave a good impression and pave the way for approaching them about Dafa later.

During breaks or while waiting to practice driving, I looked for opportunities to chat with other students and clarify the facts. They all sensed my kindness and were receptive to what I said. One of them was a classmate of mine from middle school. He also worked in the public sector and didn’t like the CCP.

I talked with him about traditional culture, reverence for the divine, the unity of heaven and earth, and the principle that good is rewarded and evil is punished. I also explained that atheism and the theory of evolution have harmed humanity, resulting in moral decline and all the chaos in the world.

I shared with him that, under the CCP’s rule, the virtues of benevolence, righteousness, propriety, and trustworthiness have disappeared. The CCP has also destroyed traditional culture, persecuted people of faith, and even committed a new type of crime—harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. I explained that Heaven will not tolerate these crimes and will ultimately eliminate the CCP. In fact, this has already manifested in recent events such as the pandemic.

I told him that gods and Buddhas have provided people with a way to stay safe by quitting the CCP, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers. By doing so, one can be spared from disaster. He readily agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

He then asked me to talk to one of his friends who had failed both Parts Two and Three of his driving test and was repeating the training with us. I clarified the facts to him and gave him an amulet. He agreed to do the three withdrawals and passed both tests a few days later.

The owner’s mother ran the convenience store and cafeteria at the driving school by herself. Sometimes, when I saw that she was overwhelmed, I stepped in to help her by preparing hot water, cooking noodles, cleaning tables, and washing dishes.

She was very grateful and complimented me in front of her daughter-in-law. I told her, “I’m a Falun Gong practitioner. Our teacher teaches us to be good wherever we are.”

I often chatted with her about Dafa, and she agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

I met a student in his 20s who was sitting next to me while we were waiting to practice driving. After learning that he was preparing to take the civil service exam for a position in the police department, I said, “Young man, let me share something very important with you.

“You are handsome, kind, and intelligent. I want you to have a bright future, and I’m sure you’ll pass the exam. But by all means, do not work for the 610 Office or the Domestic Security Division, and don’t ever participate in the persecution of Falun Dafa.”

I began telling him about the widespread popularity of Dafa and the blessings it has brought to people around the world. I also told him about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong, the staged Tiananmen Square self-immolation, the state-sanctioned organ harvesting, and the principle that good is rewarded and evil is punished.

I then explained how to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations and told him that by sincerely reciting, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” he would be blessed. He agreed, and I was happy for him.

The driving school offered Part Two to students every 10 days. The students were very nervous beforehand, because they would have wasted their time and money if they failed. After clarifying the truth to them, I always said to sincerely recite “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” that this would help them do well and pass the tests. They all accepted what I said and succeeded.

If I Cultivate My Heart, Master Will Make Arrangements

During my time at the school, I realized that, if I delayed registering for the tests, I would be able to meet more students and clarify the facts to them. As soon as I had this thought, Master arranged everything for me.

In 2022, an outbreak of COVID-19 resulted in the city and surrounding areas being locked down. Everyone was required to stay home for a week. Students from three training groups were affected. When the lockdown was lifted, all of the affected students returned to the driving school, a total of about 30 people. I was then able to approach more students and help save them.

Part Three training sessions were conducted outside the driving school, and I had fewer opportunities to speak with people. I wanted to clarify the facts to a few students whom I hadn’t yet had the opportunity to approach, so I asked Master to arrange for them to be assigned to Route 1. When I arrived at Route 1 for the Part Three test, I indeed met up with them. I repeatedly thanked Master in my heart.

I would like to mention that my driving skills are only average, and I often made mistakes during training. While taking the tests for Parts Two and Three, I silently recited “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” and passed both on my first attempt.

The coach and the driving school owner both exclaimed, “It’s remarkable that you passed both tests the first time!”

My family, including my nephew, agreed that this was amazing.

Conclusion

In clarifying the truth, I have come to understand that Master arranges everything. As long as we have the heart to save people, Master will help. And if we maintain strong righteous thoughts and approach predestined people with kindness and compassion, we will do well.

Of course, I still have a lot of shortcomings, and I need to work harder on studying the Fa and cultivating my xinxing. I feel that Master is looking after me at every moment. I will walk the remaining part of my cultivation path well, cultivate greater compassion, fulfill my historical mission, and follow Master home.
