(Minghui.org) My recent job involved making Japanese rice balls. Once I started, I realized it was a position everyone dreaded, as the high-speed machinery put out tens of thousands of rice balls in a single shift.

The process required dumping nearly a hundred cases of cooked rice—each weighing about 33 lb—into the machine. As the machine rapidly dispensed the rice balls, we had to place various ingredients on them at top speed. We worked continuously from 9:00 am until 3:00 or 4:00 pm., and it was constant and exhausting work to finish the batch.

Afterward, cleaning up, dismantling, washing, wiping down, and reassembling the equipment remained. It was an ordeal that few people could handle, but there was no choice—I simply had to endure it.

A Japanese woman, Lizi, in her late sixties, worked in this position. She was a hardworking woman, but she was about to retire, and I was there to take her place. She was teaching me the ropes.

As a practitioner, I strive to live by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance in everything I say and do, so I always volunteer to take on extra tasks at work.

When adding any ingredients, I would speed up, so Lizi could catch her breath. When adding the cooked rice to the machine, I often volunteered to carry and set out case after case of rice weighing 33 lb each. By the end of the day, I was so exhausted I could not do anything else. However, at night when I lay down in bed, I could feel every cell in my body moving.

After working with Lizi for some time, I developed a strong rapport with her. During our meals together, I shared the teachings of Falun Dafa with her and gave her a little lotus flower inscribed with the principles of the practice: “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” I also shared with her that I was a Dafa practitioner. Lizi was very interested when she heard this. From then on, whether at work, during lunch, or on the way home from work, we would always exchange a few words together.

One day in the changing room, Lizi showed me a picture that left me astonished! In the picture, she stood beside a waterfall, where the rising mist had formed the unmistakable shape of a dragon. At the base of the waterfall, the mist had created the form of a dragon's head—complete with clearly visible whiskers—that seemed to be smiling as it faced her. What was this all about? Upon asking, I learned that she was a Buddhist and was actively studying Buddhist teachings.

This prompted me to share the truth about Dafa with her in greater depth. I also told her there is a book called Zhuan Falun—available in Japanese—as well as exercise instruction tapes with Japanese translations. I told her I would buy them for her.

The day before I was planning to buy the books, just after Lizi and I had finished lunch, I was wondering how I could explain things to her more clearly and thoroughly. I turned to my phone to look for relevant materials to show her. It just so happened that Master had published a new article on the Minghui website titled “Why the Creator Seeks to Save All Life.” I realized immediately that this was the very answer I had been looking for!

I opened the Japanese version of the site and found—to my delight—that the Japanese translation had been published just one day after the Chinese original. I opened it and handed the phone to her right away. She quickly read through the entire article and nodded sincerely.

Before finishing, she made a point of looking at Master’s name. The next day, I brought her a large-format Japanese edition of Zhuan Falun and the instructional video for the exercises (with Japanese translation). As she took the book, she looked at Master’s name at the bottom of the cover; then, nodding with satisfaction, she happily accepted it.

When I gave Lizi the book, I included a note in Japanese explaining how to read it: she should read from beginning to end without stopping, and ideally, repeated study would help her understand more each time. She promised me that she would read it carefully at home after she retired.

Not long after, Lizi retired. Six months passed by quickly. Due to a shortage of staff during Japan’s busy end of season, they brought her back temporarily to help out. I was glad to have her back working with me again. When we met, she happily told me, “That book you recommended is fantastic! I’ve read the whole thing!” As she spoke, she gave a thumbs-up, her face beaming with enthusiasm.

At a glance, I could see that Lizi’s complexion was vastly different from how it had been six months before. In the past, her face had looked dark and sallow, with sunken eyes; now, however, she was glowing with good health, and the dark circles under her eyes were gone. I was overjoyed for her—a life had been saved.

I was deeply moved, realizing that everything is Master’s arrangement. When Lizi read Master’s scripture, “Why the Creator Seeks to Save All Life,” she understood Dafa and was saved. What an incredible stroke of fate this is! I truly cannot find the words to describe Master’s greatness and compassion!

Master’s article speaks directly to the hearts of sentient beings. This is also a manifestation of the Buddha’s boundless grace in the human world! We are Dafa disciples of the Fa-rectification period, assisting Master in rectifying the Fa. Therefore, we absolutely must fulfill our historic mission!
