(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners were invited to join the Freedom Festival parade in Randolph, New Jersey, on July 1, 2026.
Practitioners gave the spectators a glimpse of traditional Chinese culture by demonstrating the Falun Dafa exercises, playing the waist drums, and doing a lotus flower dance. People applauded and cheered their procession in the parade.
Randolph’s annual Freedom Festival spans three days, with the parade being the highlight of the festivities. At this 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, honorary attendees included U.S. Representative for New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District Analilia Mejia, State Senator Anthony Bucco, State Assembly Member Aura Dunn, and Randolph Mayor Mark Forstenhausler.
With a contingent of veterans, vintage military vehicles, and a military band leading the parade, spectators waving American flags lined both sides of the parade route.
The Falun Dafa practitioners’ parade entry was the only group composed primarily of Asian members.

The emcee also explained that lotus flowers symbolize compassion, purity, and dignity in traditional Chinese culture, while the waist drum is a traditional instrument with a long history.
