(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 4 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Li Jianchun was arrested in Hefei City, Anhui Province, on April 24, 2026. The police submitted her case to the Shushan District Procuratorate in Hefei on June 30, 2026.
Mr. Feng Yanjun was arrested on June 9, 2026, and admitted to the Xi’an City Detention Center on June 12. His lawyer and family aren’t allowed to visit him. When his family went to the Xincheng District Domestic Security Division to demand his release on June 29, they were told that the Procuratorate had issued a formal arrest warrant for Mr. Feng.
Ms. Wei Liming was tried in Zhen’an District Court on May 28, 2026, and sentenced to one year and ten months with a 3,000-yuan fine. She has appealed the verdict.
Since 2026, authorities in the Changchun area have continued to go door-to-door to harass Falun Gong practitioners, taking pictures of them and collecting samples of their blood. They also harassed practitioners’ family members by phone. When practitioners refused to cooperate, the police pretended to be property management employees or real estate registration officials to deceive the practitioners into opening the door.
In late June 2026, the Rongguang Police Station dispatched officers to go door-to-door in their jurisdiction to harass Falun Gong practitioners and take pictures of them. Even practitioners in their 80s weren’t spared.
When she distributed Falun Gong materials in a residential complex on June 12, 2026, Ms. Guo Xiujuan was caught on surveillance cameras and reported to the police. She was arrested four days later and detained for 15 days. The police also searched Ms. Guo’s home and confiscated a printer, a computer, a cell phone, a tape recorder, and all her Falun Gong books.
