(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners held a candlelight light vigil near the Chinese Embassy in London on the evening of July 20, 2026. They commemorated the fellow practitioners who died due to the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 27-year persecution. They also called on the international community to help stop the human rights abuses.

The practitioners displayed large banners calling to stop the persecution. Some held portraits of practitioners who died due to the CCP’s persecution for their belief in Falun Gong’s guiding principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

For 27 years, countless practitioners have been arrested, imprisoned, and tortured in China. The CCP even conducts state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting for lucrative profit, which is an unprecedented crime against humanity, and is still going on.

Practitioners around the world hold activities around July 20 every year to commemorate their fellow practitioners who died, and to raise awareness of the CCP’s persecution.

Many residents and tourists stopped to read the information. Some said they were appalled upon learning about the CCP’s forced organ harvesting, and signed the petition.

Some drivers of passing-by vehicles honked their horns to express their support for the event.
