(Minghui.org) Practitioners in New Jersey participated in two large fairs on July 31–August 9, 2026. They demonstrated the exercises and informed people about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) ongoing persecution. Many people stopped at their booths to learn about the human rights abuses, learn the Falun Dafa exercises, and sign the petition calling for a stop to the persecution.
People Support Practitioners at New Jersey State Fair
Practitioners set up a booth at the New Jersey State Fair during July 31–August 8. The fair was located in Augusta, in northern New Jersey, and attracts more than 200,000 people every year. Many families travel from the neighboring states of New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut to attend the event.

The soothing exercise music and peaceful exercises were a calm oasis at the bustling fair, and attracted many people. Some people slowed down and read the banners, others visited the booth to talk with the practitioners, and some learned the exercises. Practitioners also informed people about Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and how the CCP persecutes the spiritual discipline.
Eva from Newark chatted with a practitioner, and said she had previously heard about Falun Dafa on a street in New York, and was interested in the practice. She said she’s been troubled by anxiety for a long time, and was looking for something to help her relax. After Eva did the first exercise she said she felt great. She also signed the petition to support the Senate bill, the Falun Gong and Victims of Forced Organ Harvesting Protection Act (S.4009). She also invited her family to sign the petition.
The booth also drew many young students, who attentively watched the exercise demonstrations. Some followed the movements on the spot and asked practitioners to teach them more. Many of them signed the petition.
The Middlesex County Fair
Another group of practitioners participated in the Middlesex County Fair in East Brunswick on August 3–9.
This was the fair’s 88th year, and activities included agricultural exhibits, 4H displays, live entertainment, carnival rides and games, food, crafts, an antique farm equipment exhibit, and fireworks. The fair attracts about 85,000 attendees each year and is a popular summer event for families in central New Jersey.

Practitioners demonstrated the exercises and answered people’s questions. Some said this was the first time they had heard of Falun Dafa, while others had previously heard about the persecution but did not know the details, so they took materials and said they would learn about it.
Some people were interested in practicing Falun Dafa and learned the exercise movements.
Justin Murphy, Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate, and Gregg Mele, Republican candidate for New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District, also spoke with practitioners during the fair and expressed their support.
