(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 16 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

8. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhang Qinglian Harassed
9. [Fuyu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Qing Detained

1. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Zhenna Released From Prison on Verge of Death

Ms. Li Zhenna, in her 70s, was sentenced to five years in prison and fined 50,000 yuan in March 2025. While serving time at the Shandong Province Women’s Prison, her health deteriorated rapidly. Yet the prison didn’t release her until July 10, 2026, when she was on the verge of death. She barely recognized anyone when her family picked her up.

2. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Sun Lizhi, Mu Chunping, Yu, Mei, Meng, and two sisters surnamed Teng were arrested at Ms. Zhao Jinfeng’s home on July 12, 2026.

3. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Mr. Shi Guoyu Sentenced to Two Years in Prison

Mr. Shi Guoyu was arrested on October 15, 2025, for talking about Falun Gong via cell phone. He was sentenced to two years in prison and has been admitted to the Jidong Prison.

4. [Daye City, Hubei Province] Mr. Cao Zhongrong Released From Prison

Mr. Cao Zhongrong was arrested on March 13, 2022, and was later sentenced to four years and three months in prison. He served time at the Fanjiatai Prison and was released on June 12, 2026.

5. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Baoling Detained

Ms. Zhang Baoling travelled to Langfang City, Hebei Province, to visit a relative in July 2026 and was arrested at a train station. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fu Wenjie Under Strict Management in Prison

Ms. Fu Wenjie was sentenced to five and a half years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan in December 2025. She is currently serving time at the Liaoning Province Second Women’s Prison. She has been placed under strict management and denied visits with her family because she refuses to renounce Falun Gong.

7. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Meina Detained

Ms. Li Meina was arrested when distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on July 14, 2026. Her home was ransacked in the evening. She was admitted to the Fushan Detention Center the next afternoon.

8. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhang Qinglian Harassed

Ms. Zhang Qinglian, 79, was harassed at home on July 14, 2026, by an officer from the Huayuancun Police Station and two staff members from the Tianyuan Community. They took photos of her as soon as she opened the door. The same three people also harassed her in April this year.

9. [Fuyu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Qing Detained

Mr. Liu Qing was arrested at home on June 26, 2026, by guards from the Jilin Province Prison.
