(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 23 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

6. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Zheng Yongxin and Mr. Luan Ning to Be Released from Prison
7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jia Xiuyu Arrested
8. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Ling Harassed

1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Han Fei Arrested

Mr. Han Fei was arrested by Gaoxinyuanqu Police Station officers on August 20, 2026.

2. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Facing Trial

Five practitioners are scheduled to stand trial in the Zichuan District Court on August 28, 2026. They are: Ms. Shan Cuimei, Mr. Pu Xianhu, his wife, Ms. Luo Hongping, Ms. Zhang Xiucui, and Ms. Liu Yufeng.

3. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chu Zhanfeng Facing Trial

Ms. Chu Zhanfeng, a native of Songyuan City, Jilin Province, was arrested on August 25, 2026, while working in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province. She was accused of distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. She was scheduled to stand trial in the Daqing Development District Court on August 27, 2026.

4. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Fengxia Facing Trial

Ms. Chen Fengxia was scheduled to stand trial at the Shuangqiao District Court on August 25, 2026.

5. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Liu Runmiao Denied Visits with Her Family

Ms. Liu Runmiao was arrested in March 2025 and later sentenced to three years and three months in prison. She is currently serving time at the Shanxi Province Women’s Prison and denied visits with her family.

6. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Zheng Yongxin and Mr. Luan Ning to Be Released from Prison

Mr. Zheng Yongxin was sentenced to five years and ten months in prison and fined 15,000 yuan by the Shapotou District Court on May 6, 2023. He was scheduled to be released from prison on August 24, 2026.

Mr. Luan Ning was sentenced to 10 years in prison and fined 100,000 yuan by Yinchuan City Intermediate Court on April 16, 2019. He was scheduled to be released from prison on August 26, 2026.

7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jia Xiuyu Arrested

Ms. Jia Xiuyu was arrested at home by officers from the Shihe Police Station and the Jizhou District Domestic Security Division on August 12, 2026. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books and the photo of Falun Gong’s founder. She was taken to the police station for interrogation and released in the evening.
