(Minghui.org) A 58-year-old home-aide in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province is scheduled to stand trial on September 4, 2026, for her faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Ms. Huang Xiaokui

Ms. Huang Xiaokui, born in February 1968, placed a copy of Falun Gong informational material on the electric bike of a delivery worker near the Yangcheng International Trade Building around 2 p.m. on March 18, 2026. The worker, surnamed Wei, reported her.

At around 5 p.m. that day, Ms. Huang was arrested near the exit of the Tianhe Sports Center Metro Station by officer Xiang Hengjie of the Linhe Police Station. Officers Wan Jingfeng and Zhou Xiao then took her to the Tianhe District Police Department Case Processing Center for interrogation.

Officers from the Linhe Police Station and Tianhe District Police Department ransacked Ms. Huang’s home at around 10 p.m. when no one was around. Her Falun Gong books, computer memory cards, and flash drives were confiscated.

Ms. Huang was admitted to the Tianhe District Detention Center the next day. Her arrest was approved by the Tianhe District Procuratorate on April 24.

Because Ms. Huang refused to recite the detention center rules, she was barred from purchasing daily necessities, including toothbrush, toothpaste, towels, toilet paper, and blanket. She also developed severe hemorrhoids and constipation during detention, but the guards refused to provide any treatment.

On July 3, 2026, the Tianhe District Procuratorate forwarded Ms. Huang’s case to the Haizhu District Procuratorate, which, together with the Haizhu District Court, has been designated to handle Falun Gong cases in the greater Guangzhou area. Prosecutor Huang Jieying indicted her and moved her case to the Haizhu District Court on July 30. Judge Li Qianwen scheduled a hearing for September 4.
