(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held an event in Valencia, Spain’s third-largest city, on August 22, 2026. Many tourists and local residents signed the petition to help end the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) atrocities against Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong).

The event was located across from the Estació del Nord (“North Station”), Valencia’s major railway station, and next to the bullring, Plaça de Bous de València. Because it is one of the busiest areas in the city center, numerous locals and tourists stopped at the practitioners’ table to talk and learn more about the situation in China.
Practitioners held the event from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. They informed people about the persecution of Falun Dafa in China, collected signatures on a petition to end the persecution, and demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises. Local residents and tourists from around the world stopped to read the display boards with information about Falun Gong and the persecution. Many people said they were appalled by the CCP’s brutality, and some took photos of the display boards. Others took flyers to share with friends and family or signed the petition to help end the persecution. Some asked to be shown the exercises.

The local Chinatown is located near the North Station and many Chinese people stopped at the booth. One man told a practitioner that Falun Gong originated in China and is widely practiced overseas, but it’s persecuted in China—which is truly the Chinese people’s disgrace. He said he hopes the persecution ends soon so the practitioners in China can have the same freedom that overseas practitioners have to live according to Falun Gong’s principles: Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and do the exercises.
A Chinese woman who lives in Valencia said she was interested in qigong. After speaking with a practitioner and learning about Falun Gong’s effectiveness in improving health and morality, she said that she would go to the practice site in the park and learn the exercises. She also downloaded the electronic version of Zhuan Falun from the Falun Dafa website.
“This Crime Must Be Stopped”

Brady and Sofía were shocked by the extent of the persecution and the CCP’s forced organ harvesting and expressed their support for practitioners. Concerning the organ harvesting, Brady said, “This is pure evil. Taking people’s lives in order to transplant their organs to others. This is horrible. This crime is beyond imagination and must be stopped!
“We are in an information age. Since there is a vast amount of information, it is even more necessary to emphasize efforts to raise awareness across the world. We need more people to jointly sign the petition and push the European Union and international institutions with authority to conduct an in-depth investigation and ban these atrocities.”
Sofía added, “Forced organ harvesting is an extremely cruel and unprecedented humanitarian disaster. People have the right to express and uphold their faiths. Falun Gong practitioners are simply elevating themselves on spiritual and personal levels through spiritual practice. They do not hurt anyone. It is completely unreasonable to persecute them. It is very saddening that people cannot freely express their faith.”
Brady and Sofía said they would share the information with friends and do what they could to support practitioners’ activities to expose the persecution. “Whenever possible, we must support their righteous actions. Our ultimate goal is to clean out all evil in the world and move toward a world free from wars and violence and with mutual cooperation and peace,” Brady said.
The Persecution Must Be Exposed

Nancy from Venezuela said that she didn’t know about the persecution, but she always admired traditional Eastern culture and had practiced Tai Chi before. She said, after signing the petition, “People all over the world who appreciate democracy and peace should learn about what is happening. Because not knowing would allow it to continue, so these hidden truths must be made public. I signed the petition because I learned about the issue. I’m willing to sign a thousand times to stop the persecution.”
Speaking of Falun Gong’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, Nancy said, “These are core values that everybody should have. Truthfulness is the cornerstone that guides one’s life; Compassion represents empathy and kindness toward people; Forbearance, to me, in fact embodies love. It is completely unacceptable that a practice that pursues the universal values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance is being persecuted for such a long time.”
She said she would tell her friends about Falun Gong and how it is persecuted in China.
“The Truth Cannot Be Covered Up”

Ivana from Argentina said, “This is my first time hearing about Falun Gong being persecuted. I’m very shocked. I usually read news about China and I know that China is not how the government publicizes or attempts to present itself. But the reality about this spiritual practice [Falun Gong] being persecuted is unbelievable.”
Speaking about the atrocities taking place in China, Ivana said, “We absolutely cannot agree with or accept this type of behavior that tramples on human rights. The truth cannot be covered up. All kind people around the world should know about these truths that have been intentionally covered up, expose them, and together speak out to stop the persecution. This appears to be of utmost importance.”
Ivana said she would share what she learned with friends and family and urge more people to pay attention to and help end the persecution.
