Using the Law to Reclaim My Pension Is a Process of Validating Dafa

(Minghui.org) After I read articles on Minghui.org about practitioners’ efforts to reclaim their pensions, I decided to share my experience of legally reclaiming mine.

As a 70-year-old retiree, my pension was my only source of income. After I was released from illegal detention, I was unlawfully denied my pension. I then made reclaiming my pension a key focus of my cultivation. In my heart, I completely rejected the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) justification for withholding my pension and refused to accept the wrongful arrangement in which my employer only provided for my living expenses. My embarking on a path of using the law to defend my rights validated Dafa and helped me save predestined people.

This process would include my former employer, the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau (HRSSB), the Social Security Center, government review agencies, the courts, the Procuratorate, and the police. It appeared to be a difficult path, but with righteous thoughts, it became broader. It was just as Master Li said: “Cultivation depends on one’s own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one’s master.” (Lecture One, Zhuan Falun)

Eliminating My Fear of Persecution to Forge Ahead

After I was released from detention, the shadow of my ordeal lingered in my mind. Through diligent Fa study, it gradually diminished, and my mind became clearer. But when I decided to submit an application to the HRSSB for the legal distribution of my pension, my righteous thoughts wavered, and I became less confident. Consequently, my application was rejected by the HRSSB and referred to the bureau’s Petition Office. My journey to protect my rights began with my request for information disclosure from the Petition Office.

This request for information disclosure led to an administrative review, then to first and second steps of a litigation process. All of this took more than a year and a half, and I encountered obstacles at every step. After a period of studying the Fa, looking inward, and striving to improve my xinxing, I resumed the legal process this year. At the same time, I was validating Dafa, clarifying the truth, and saving predestined people. Although my previous efforts did not achieve the intended goal, the gains in my cultivation were tangible. I gradually overcame my fear of further persecution.

Because I was afraid to clarify the truth to public officials in person, I wrote out my personal statements and submitted them as attachments with the legal documents. The process of creating these documents also helped my family to gain a deeper understanding about the truth behind the persecution of Dafa.

I asked my son to review the documents under the guise of checking for typos. When he read my statement, he was worried that I might be persecuted again and asked me to delete it. However, after he learned I had previously submitted similar truth-clarification documents numerous times without it affecting the legal proceedings—he was no longer worried. In fact, he became even more supportive of my efforts to defend my rights.

Submitting each legal document became a cultivation process of eliminating my emotional attachments and upholding righteous thoughts. One day, the thought, “I’m no longer facing the threat of persecution” appeared very clearly in my mind. I felt a jolt and understood that Master had removed my fear. I am grateful for his compassionate salvation!

Dafa Disciples Are an Indestructible One Body

The lawyers on the Justice Forum are fellow practitioners. They taught me, step by step, how to write various documents to defend my rights, guided me through the process of protecting my rights, patiently explained legal terminology, and analyzed the illegality of the CCP’s persecution. Their guidance was professional and comprehensive.

I can log into the Justice Forum at any time to ask questions. I sometimes did so several times a day, and I always received a prompt response. By the way, the FreeGate circumvention software is excellent and easy to use; it bypassed the CCP’s Internet firewall almost instantly, and there were virtually no issues with being able to connect to external browsers.

In addition to the selfless legal assistance from fellow practitioners on the Forum, I was also encouraged by their righteous thoughts when I felt discouraged. They saved me a great deal of time and money that I would have spent consulting lawyers. While browsing through the Forum pages, I saw that many other practitioners had also started from scratch and embarked on the path of using the law to resist the persecution. I would like to thank the lawyers on the Forum for their hard work and help!

Saving Predestined People

The act of defending my legal rights that were taken away because I practice Falun Dafa is itself a way of validating the Fa. When personnel in the various agencies I contacted learned I am a Falun Dafa practitioner who was requesting that my illegally withheld pension benefits be released, they were astonished: “Are there still Falun Dafa practitioners? A Falun Dafa practitioner dares to say that withholding their pensions is illegal? A Falun Dafa practitioner demands a review of the legality of the administration’s actions—has there ever been such a case before? A Falun Dafa practitioner dares to sue the government and the HRSSB? A practitioner dares to claim that their imprisonment was wrongful?”

Practitioners who have courageously made use of the law to defend their rights have truly stirred up a great wave. Their impact has reached public security agencies, the procuratorate, the courts, government administrative departments, and even the post office. After reviewing these materials, their initially dismissive attitudes changed. They would invite practitioners into their offices, offer them a glass of water, and look at them with curiosity. When practitioners appear upright and dignified, they are greeted with admiration. When a Dafa practitioner sits in the plaintiff’s seat, facing the government as the defendant, they are truly validating Dafa.

Throughout the legal process of this administrative lawsuit, I was asked to revise my complaint multiple times, especially the sections where I clarified the truth. These revisions gave me an opportunity to expound on the facts from multiple perspectives. When the complaint met the judge’s requirements, she accepted all the materials. At that point, I asked the judge to remember, “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”

There were cameras both in front of and behind the case-filing window, and a bailiff was standing just two yards behind me. The judge looked at me, lowered her head, and said, “Thank you. No matter what happens, you must keep going!” Tears came to my eyes, and I replied, “Thank you!” At that moment, I knew that my repeated revisions to the complaint was a process for her to understand the truth.

Although two years of seeking justice may have seemed fruitless, I was fulfilling my mission of validating the Fa and saving people with predestined connections. I was also delighted to meet a lawyer—an ordinary person who dared to speak up for those deprived of their pensions. His openness and courage showed me that sentient beings are awakening.

I know that Master saw my intention to use this path to validate the Fa and was encouraging me. As that lawyer said, “Depriving someone of their pension is illegal. Only when you dare to face injustice can you correct it and achieve the goal of protecting your rights.”

I hope that fellow practitioners whose pensions have been withheld can use the law to resist economic persecution. We are not attached to the outcome itself, as Master will ultimately protect his disciples. Rather, defending our rights is a means through which we allow more people within the system to learn the truth about Dafa and be saved.

The people within the system are most heavily controlled by the CCP; they cannot hear the truth and often do not dare to accept it. But when Dafa practitioners appear before them in an open and upright manner, it can disintegrate the evil factors behind them and create opportunities for their salvation.
