Taking the Fa as the Teacher, Assist the Teacher in the Human World

 

In his latest article Rationality, our Teacher told us, " … as those who attack goodness are bound to be evil. The actions they are now adopting in the crackdown against practitioners and Dafa are extremely wicked and disgraceful, and they fear these will be exposed. People around the world must be informed of their evil deeds ---- this is also offering people salvation. While the wicked forces are being eliminated, you are consummating yourself in cultivation and strengthening the Fa’s manifestation in the world. Did you know that everything you are currently doing has already established the greatest and eternal mighty virtue for Dafa and Dafa practitioners? When this page of history is turned, the people who remain will see your greatness, and the future gods will always remember this great time in history. Validate the Fa with reason, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and offer people salvation with benevolence - this is establishing the mighty virtue of an enlightened being." 

At present, it is a duty-bound task for every Dafa (great Law) practitioner to clarify the truth of Falun Gong to people around the world.  Cultivation is not only a person’s own thing, it should also be associated with the process of our Teacher’s Fa (Law and principles) rectification ---- this is a responsibility that practitioners in this special historic period must take. Therefore, in the flourishing activities of spreading Falun Dafa in Taiwan, in order to better validate Dafa, clarify the truth and let people know and cherish Falun Dafa, we have adopted many-faceted ways, especially by making use of the media.   We hope to attain a goal of spreading Falun Dafa in an effective and far-reaching manner.

Using the newspaper Falun Dafa In Taiwan and Dafa flyers to introduce Falun Dafa to the public

Since last September, the newspaper Falun Dafa In Taiwan published by the Taiwan Falun Dafa Association and beautifully printed Dafa flyer have become two important propagating tools in each grand activity of promoting Falun Dafa. The general public who read the flyers can not only gain a basic understanding of the study of the Fa and practicing the exercises, but also learn from current events and cultivation experiences in the newspaper. They can learn about the development of Falun Dafa and the true and beneficial effects practitioners experienced after studying the Fa. By using these two types of media, Dafa practitioners can introduce the Falun Dafa exercises to the public in a more orderly manner, and explain and answer some doubts and questions from the public. 

Using cultivation stories and posters to promote Falun Dafa

In addition to the first two types of media, there are two other materials suitable for promoting Falun Dafa, namely, The Collection of Cultivation Experience Sharing Articles compiled from the cultivation experience sharing conference at the end of last year in Taiwan and Cultivation Stories compiled in New York.  As the articles and stories are all practitioners’ personal cultivation experiences, many lies (spread by the Chinese government) will dissolve by themselves, and people can also realize that Falun Dafa is the true orthodox Fa. Besides, using the large-sized posters from overseas Falun Dafa promotion as reference, Taiwan practitioners made their own posters.   The posters and picture information displayed on the stands attracted the attention of many people passing by.  

Promoting Falun Dafa in English

Furthermore, considering that many foreigners were attracted by our practicing the exercises during our Falun Dafa promotion activities, and that our materials were all in Chinese and hard to be used to introduce to foreigners, practitioners in Taipei voluntarily formed a foreign language Fa promotion group in May. The group discussed ways of introducing Dafa to foreigners, making sub-groups according to different languages and Dafa materials utilized, etc.

At present, this group has compiled and printed flyers in English based on overseas Dafa materials, and adopted overseas periodicals such as Boundless as a newspaper.  Judging from our recent outdoor events, this seemed to be quite effective to introduce Falun Dafa to foreigners. Take "The International Children’s Amusement and Art Festival" held in Yi Lan as an example, with sufficient materials and preparation, we gained a good response from foreigners. There were twenty-two performance groups from different countries taking part in this event, including Brazil, Denmark, the Ivory Coast and Poland, etc. They performed folk dances in QinShui Park by Dongshan River. During the festival, the sponsor of this Festival - Yi Lan Cultural Center would always invite foreign guests to take related courses in Chinese culture, such as Chinese Gongfu, folk plays, etc.  In order to take this precious opportunity of introducing Falun Dafa to the public and foreign guests, practitioners in Yi Lan proactively contacted the sponsor and made Falun Gong one of the Chinese culture courses.

During the two-month festival, on several occasions the practitioners from the foreign language group assisted teaching exercises to foreigners.  Although they did not have any experience in promoting Falun Dafa in English, and were not quite proficient in the introduction, those foreigner guests coming from non-English speaking countries, such as Brazil and the Ivory Coast, did not have any problem understanding the language. This was probably due to the fact that we did not use flowery language, so they could directly feel our earnestness for promoting Falun Dafa. Therefore, the whole activities of exercise teaching, brief introduction and experience sharing, was successfully finished with the cooperation of our practitioners and the help of interpreters accompanying the foreign guests.

In order to meet demands for spreading Falun Dafa more widely, Taiwan recently issued a publication like a newspaper insertion, named The Special Issue Of Falun Dafa in Taiwan. To make it easier for the public to understand, this special issue was printed in color, and more beautifully designed than Falun Dafa In Taiwan. In addition, the contents of the newspaper are more popular, and suitable for us to send widely through the mail.  Thus more people can become familiar with the Falun Dafa name and cultivation practice content, with no need of explaining to the public face to face.

Making videos of "Falun Dafa In Taiwan" and "The Truth about Falun Gong"

With regard to audio-video media, considering the good effect of Falun Gong, The Real Story made in America, Taiwan practitioners also made a video Falun Dafa In Taiwan to introduce Falun Dafa to the public. We recently made another video The Truth about Falun Gong to clarify various lies from the Chinese government and clarify public misunderstandings, and to make the introductory contents more complete. These dynamic programs have been played on a small TV next to the practice site for people to watch during large exercise practice activities.  This attracted many people and they asked for information about either learning and practicing Falun Dafa, or related contents in the videos.

Broadcasting "Cultivation Stories" in Minnan dialect to introduce Falun Dafa to the public

This is another type of Falun Dafa introduction through broadcasting programs. Our Taiwan practitioners actively contacted several radio-broadcasting companies to keep up with the progress of World Falun Dafa Radio. As a result, Island XinSheng TNT Radio Broadcasting Station will soon release a program in the Minnan dialect named "Cultivation Stories."  This program is based on the cultivation stories of practitioners.  Taiwan practitioners do not have sufficient cultivation stories for the five-day a week, 30-minute program. Nevertheless, as everyone has realized that the best way to " Assist the Teacher in the human world" is to step forward to validate Falun Dafa, more Taiwan practitioners recently submitted their cultivation stories to the Taiwan assistance center website.

The cultivation stories of Dafa practitioners indeed play a positive role in validating that Dafa is righteous. The more people write their cultivation stories, the more people step forward to tell how they have benefited from Dafa, the more cultivation stories introduced to the public, the more they will strengthen the positive positioning of Dafa in people’s mind.  Just as our Teacher said in Towards Consummation, " …Those disciples who have passed the comprehensive and most rigorous tests have laid a rock-solid foundation for Dafa in this world, displayed in the human world the true manifestation of Dafa, and at the same time have perfected their own most majestic positions. ..."  It will be good material for promoting the Fa, whether they are daily trivial things, or different understandings from the practitioners.  In addition, due to lack of experiences in making radio programs, practitioners in charge of this continuously learn to enrich their knowledge while making the programs. With their pure hearts for promoting Dafa, they are confident that their programs broadcast in Chinese or in the Minnan dialect, will enable listeners both in Taiwan and other countries to understand what Falun Dafa is about. As for TV programs, practitioners are currently negotiating with TV companies, hoping to make programs to promote Dafa.  

The above is a general introduction of the recent multi- media activities of promoting Dafa in Taiwan. In his article Further Comments on Superstition, Teacher said, " Mankind! Wake up! The vows of Gods throughout history are being fulfilled. Dafa is evaluating all lives. The path of life is under one’s own feet. A single thought of his own will also decide his own future."  In today’s Fa rectification in the human world, it is obviously the most important responsibility of Falun Dafa practitioners to enable the public to sensibly understand Falun Dafa, and provide them with a fair opportunity to place their position themselves and decide on their future. This also the manifestation of Dafa's benevolence to all sentient beings.
