(Clearwisdom.net) One afternoon my husband went to work, and I went to the grocery store to buy some vegetables. I left my bike near the gate of the grocery store. After shopping, I came out and could not find my bike. It was seven minutes before the store closed. My other bike, which was parked near where I worked, was stolen two days later. In three days, two of my bikes were stolen.
I reported the second theft to the security person at work, and he said their bikes had been stolen as well. They checked the monitor and saw that a man and a woman, who seemed to be a couple and with their faces covered, had stolen it. The security person said there was no way to better handle these sorts of cases, and that stolen bikes are never recovered. I heard people talking about this, saying that the police will not deal with these thefts. Compared with other cases, they are not important enough for them to pay much attention to. If the police arrest a thief for something like this, they will be busy all day long dealing with it and not be able to go home until after 8 o'clock at night, after others have already left. Then the bike thief will get, at most, a two-week detention. The police don't feel this light sentence really solves the problem. The procedures for dealing with such cases, however, are complicated and very time-consuming. As a result, the police prefer to fine the thieves when they are caught in the act and then let them go instead of taking them back to the police station. As time passes, the police become apathetic, and the thieves don't care about the fines. As a result, bike theft has become rampant.
People say there are so many serious corruption cases waiting to be handled, there is no effort to deal with cases like bikes being stolen. Some people even say that, compared to corruption cases, a stolen bike is not a criminal offense. In the end, ordinary people will have to suffer losses. In fact, the police are already working with the bike thieves, who give the police they know a few hundred yuan and are released immediately. It's the same as the police acting as the thieves' safety net.
I spent 300 yuan and bought another bike. My husband's co-worker bought a used bike for only 160 yuan. He said that, for that much money, if his bike was stolen again, he wouldn't feel so bad. However, he has to spend lots of time fixing the old bike, which is very troublesome, too. So no matter what people do, there is no feeling of safety in society today.
When Teacher was spreading the Fa in China, whatever people lost at the lectures, be it a a necklace, a purse, or other items, they were recovered because it was a pure place.
If the police learn Falun Dafa, this kind of thing would not happen. Falun Dafa benefits society and does no harm at all. Why anyone would be against it is simply unfathomable!
