In today's society where money, desire and fame are what most people care about, you probably find it is hard to imagine that there are still people who will sacrifice their freedom and even their lives for their beliefs and the truth.
No matter who you are, whether you are noble, lowly, rich or poor, your life experiences tell you that nobody is worthy of your trust today. You can easily see polite smiles, the stylishness of status and artificial beauty, but it seems that we have forever lost our purity, honesty and trust.
When you receive this leaflet from me, you might still tend to judge it the same way you have learned; you might even look down on it. But I want to tell you that Falun Gong practitioners sacrifice all that they have just to tell you the truth.
Falun Dafa is a high-level cultivation way from the Buddha school (not Buddhism). Falun Gong practitioners' spiritual realms arise through their experience of assimilating to the supreme nature of the Universe: Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. They strive to become selfless persons through their daily cultivation; this enables them to look at this world with great love and compassion. Under suppression by evil forces, they bear great suffering, but nothing stops them from telling the truth. Because they do not want to see you deceived by the lies of evil doers, and thus lose your interest in knowing and joining this wonderful practice, or hear you say those words against your own heart and will, or even possibly be duped into helping the evil forces. Whatever the practitioners do is out of their true belief in the truth and their genuine care for your future. Because they are practitioners of the universal great law, they know that "Reward for Good and Retribution for Evil" is a heavenly principle. They know that being silent in the face of the evil suppression of the believers in "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" is not tolerated by this heavenly principle.
Is "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" too ordinary to gain your attention? Let us look back at recent history: what group of people being suppressed has nonetheless had the courage and indomitable spirit to face evil like Falun Gong practitioners, without any fear of losing all of their self-interest and even their lives, yet also without losing the peace in their hearts and their love for the world? This is the great power that comes from believing "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." One hundred thousand practitioners' efforts at resisting torture come from their righteous belief in good and against the evil forces; it definitely does not involve human politics. The Chinese government said that Falun Gong took money from certain people or the government. The fact is that, for telling the truth to the people in this world, they have been calmly, silently, and generously giving their own money and time, while, at the same time, bearing blind defamation from some people. Some say that they betray the country, but who is the country -- the government or its people? Some say that they should not disturb others, but actually they are trying to awaken people's consciences and their dying goodness with their compassionate hearts and great spiritual power. Some say that they will not win over the evil forces, but they are showing the power of truth and practitioners' spiritual realms with their extreme peace, love and tolerance. They are rebuilding human dignity.
For various reasons, you may find it hard to believe that at this time there are still so many people who can give up every bit of their self-interest in this world for their belief in the truth. But if you cannot accept the facts that are being written about these millions of practitioners' lives and dignity, you are voluntarily fooling yourself and killing your own consciences and the goodness in your hearts!
On September 11th 2001, when the terrorists, out of nowhere, wildly and arrogantly committed those shocking evil deeds that were beyond our imagination, in shock and suffering you were asking others and asking yourself: "Why this? How can we stop these incidents from happening again?" A showy luxurious life and scientific technology are not the ways to find happiness in life. Apart from material things, humankind needs much more honesty, benevolence and peace. We need spiritual beliefs that can bring about the fruits of compassion and the moral power that suffocates evil.
My dear friends let us rebuild our moral spirit, which can bring mankind peace and goodness forever! Our world needs honesty, benevolence and peace. Life needs "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." Let us awaken our hearts and consciences. We are constantly telling you the truth and revealing the evil, because we want to bring the spirit of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" to every corner of the world; we want to deliver that treasure into everybody's heart. Get together with your families, friends, neighbors, fellow workers and all the people who love goodness and peace. Let's join our hands and start with each one of us protecting and doing what is good and positive in our world. Water dripping constantly wears holes in stone and tens of thousands of rivers makes a sea. Your efforts will become a glorious stone that makes a monument to the morality of mankind.
My dear friends, when you want to say something about Falun Gong, please ask yourself: Have you read Zhuan Falun (the main text of Falun Gong)? Do you really know what Falun Gong is? Please respect yourself, respect the facts and respect those peaceful and kind people.
The day when people realize the truth, the day when good and evil are clearly distinguished, will be the day that genuine belief and true love return to earth. Only those who are good-hearted enough will be entering the wonderful new era of mankind. I sincerely hope you and I will be a part of this happy family of mankind, and that we will share peace and a bright future! Perhaps knowing the truth of Falun Gong and its practitioners' peaceful journey is quite a fortunate thing.
