Chicago, January 11, 2002 -- At 2 p.m., many practitioners from Chicago and the surrounding area gathered at the Chinese Consulate and held a press conference to condemn the recent torture and killing of Falun Gong practitioners. Even though it was a weekday, many practitioners overcame difficulties to join the press conference. Practitioners displayed photo boards and held banners with words such as "Stop Killing Falun Gong Practitioners" to expose the crimes of Jiang's regime.
Major Chinese media attended the press conference.
After the press conference, practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts three times to eradicate the evil that damages Dafa. Practitioners will come to the Consulate on Saturday and Sunday to appeal again.
