Torture Death of Dafa Practitioner Dr. Li Huiwen at the Xindian Labor Camp, Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province
(Clearwisdom.net) July 24th report: Li Huiwen, 32 years old, was a doctor at the Yangquan Mineral Bureau in Shanxi Province. He lived at No. 8 in Unit 2, Bldg 15, Guanxiangtai, Yangquan City, Shanxi Province. Li Huiwen obtained the Fa in Taiyuan City in 1996 and persisted in Dafa practice. Fifty days after he got married, thugs from Yuangquan City Police Department and the city "610 Office"* tricked him to a brainwashing class to persecute him. Li Huiwen refused to give up Dafa practice and was brutally tortured. He was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor. On February 26, 2003, he was tortured to death at the Xindian Labor Camp in Taiyuan City.
US Permanent Resident Ms. Li Meizi is Arrested While Visiting Her Family in China and Sentenced to Two Years of Forced Labor

Ms. Li Meizi, 50 years old, is a permanent resident of the U.S. In September 2002, she went back to Beijing from Florida to take care of her elderly parents. One day in November of the same year, while having dinner at her friend's home, the police broke in and searched the whole place. The police found two copies of flyers in her handbag. As a result, she was arrested and sent to a detention center.
Recent Situation of Nine Dafa Practitioners in Shijiazhuang City Who Were Targeted for Persecution by the Ministry of Public Security

At the end of September, 2001, a place for making truth clarification materials was destroyed by the police in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province and 8 Dafa practitioners were taken away one after another. They are Zhang Lingjiang, Shi Yan, Liu Runling, Lan Qizhi, Yang Xiaojie, Zhang Shijun, Zhao Lishan and Niu Mingang. Together with Dafa practitioner Wang Yunman, who was abducted in August, the nine practitioners were regarded as key targets for persecution by the Ministry of Public Security.
