Facts of the Persecution
Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Chengying from the Wanzhou District in Chongqing City was arrested in July 2004. She was recently transferred from the Wanqiao Detention Center to the Wanzhou District Detention Center, where she is being denied any visits from her family.
I am a Falun Dafa practitioner in China. My mother Chen Sigui went to Beijing to appeal to the government on behalf of Falun Dafa in 2000 and was arrested and sent to a labor camp for one year. On July 25, 2004, police from the Jun-an Town Station in the Shunde District of Foshan City again arrested my mother when she was posting truth-clarifying materials. Police called me at the beginning of September to tell me she had been sentenced to three years in the Sanshui Labor Camp. When we called the labor camp, however, they told us she was not there.
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Dong Yuehua, Ms. Li Qiuhua (51 years old), Ms. Zhang Xiulan (64 years old), and Ms. Liu, all from Zhucheng City in Shandong Province, were arrested on September 16, 2004. They were detained because someone reported that they were posting truth-clarifying materials.
My whole family learned about Falun Dafa in 1996. When my wife, two sons, and I went to Tiananmen to appeal to the government on behalf of Falun Dafa, we were detained and tortured. My first son was dismissed from school, because he refused to give up cultivating Falun Gong. We were constantly harassed at home.
