1. Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Liang Shaolin Has Been Detained for Over Five Years

Ms. Liang Shaolin is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Maoming City, Guangdong Province. In October 1999, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and was arrested. Since then, she has been incarcerated and transferred back and forth between Maoming City and Sanshui City. According to reliable sources, Ms. Liang has been sent back to the Maoming City Forced Brainwashing Center. Falun Gong practitioners that are currently detained at the Maoming City Forced Brainwashing Center include Ms. Liang Shaolin, Mr. Huang Zhufeng, Mr. Bing Jiang, and Ms. Xu Meilian from Huazhou.

2. Lingyuan Detention Center Repeatedly Sent Yu Shufeng to Prison

In the early morning on May 8, 2001, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yu Shufeng hung a banner that read, "Falun Dafa is Good" on Linghei Street in Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province. The police arrested her and sent her to a detention center. While she was detained, the local 610 Office tried to prosecute Ms. Yu, charging her with disturbing the social order. The court, however, rejected the allegation because her actions did not meet the standard. Yet, the Provincial Police Bureau refused to release her. On August 14, 2001, Ms. Yu was transferred to the Lingyuan Detention Center. She was sentenced to three and a half years in prison. Ms. Yu appealed to the Chaoyang City Middle Court. The court rejected her appeal in February 2002.

On April 6, 2002, the Lingyuan Detention Center sent Ms. Yu and Ms. Nie Shuqing, who is 60 years old and was sentenced to four years in prison for posting Falun Gong posters, to Dabei Prison in Shenyang City. The prison however, refused to admit Ms. Yu. On June 4, 2002, the detention center again sent Ms. Yu to the prison and they again refused her. On August 8, Ms. Yu was sent to the prison for the third time. The guards from the detention center bribed the prison officers to accept Ms. Yu. She was assigned to Brigade 2. Due to the prolonged persecution Ms. Yu suffered, she was extremely weak. One time, she lost consciousness, so the prison sent her back to the detention center.

On October 8, 2002, Ms. Yu was transferred to Unit 1 of Brigade 4 at the Liaoning Province Women's Prison. In the prison, she was forced to sit on a small stool while bending down for a long period of time. Victims who are tortured using this method experience numbness of the feet and legs, dizziness, nausea, blurry vision and an increased heart rate. In severe cases, the buttocks get covered with blisters, which could cause the flesh to decay if it is not cared for. The inmates also put unknown drugs in her food, and she was threatened and lied to.

3. Ms. Wang Ying Tells Her Lawyer about the Persecution She Suffered

My name is Wang Ying. I am 44 years old and I practice Falun Gong. When the Chinese Communist Party began its persecution of Falun Gong in July 20, 1999, I went to Beijing to appeal and was arrested. I was illegally detained at the Linquan County Detention Center for six months. They extorted 19,000 yuan from my family. On January 22, 2001, I was again detained and sentenced to three years at the Linquan County Detention Center. For the past three years, I have endured inhuman treatment. My left leg was injured from a beating and still has not recovered. They hung a big board around my neck and paraded me around the streets in order to denounce me in public.

On April 7, 2004, I was arrested, but was able to escape with righteous thoughts. I became destitute and homeless in order to avoid recapture and continued persecution. On September 24, 2004, I was arrested again and detained for more than two months. On December 3, I was taken to the Fuyang City Detention Center.
