On August 1, 2007, more than 40 Falun Gong practitioners were illegally arrested. One was tortured to death. Currently, there are more than 30 practitioners still illegally imprisoned. The practitioners suffered physical and verbal abuse of different kinds including beating, torturing and deceiption.
Using the upcoming Olympic Games and the Seventeenth Conference of the Chinese Communist Party as an excuse, authorities arrested many Falun Gong practitioners in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture since August, 2007. They have been trying to force the practitioners to give up their belief with all kinds of means.
On August 17, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Tan Xiuying and Ms. Zhang Haiqin from Shijiazhuang City were illegally arrested. The plaincloth police tricked them with wicked means. They are now held in Shijiazhuang City Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Tan Xiuying was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor. The length of Ms. Zhang Haiqin's forced labor term is unknown.
On May 14, 2007, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Hao Yijing was arrested in her hometown of Xunyang County, Shaanxi Province for practicing Falun Gong and explaining the truth of Falun Gong to her family members. She was tortured. Her house was ransacked and she was extorted out of 6,018 Yuan. On May 30, 2007, Ms. Hao was arrested and tortured again. The police extorted 49,600 yuan again in total but did not release Ms. Hao.
On the afternoon of September 8, 2007, Falun Gong practitioner Wang Dexian from Longmen Village in Laishui Town, Hebei Province was arrested again when he clarified the truth. His home was searched. He escaped later. His family members has also suffered persecution.
Previously healthy, Mr. Chen Jianzhong weighed only 80 pounds when he was taken home from the Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp by his family, but the camp denied any responsibility for his death.
Yan Haidong and his family have suffered continuous persecution from the CCP from 1999 to 2007. Most recently Yan Haidong's detention has resulted in his young son being left home alone.
From July, 1999 to the present, Falun Gong practitioners imprisoned in Gongzhuling Prison have been subjected to brutal torture sometimes leading to mental collapse or death. This article includes individual stories and illustrations of some of the torture methods used.
Mr. Yu Chunhai is severely tortured in prison, forced to give up the practice of Falun Gong, and never recovers his health.

In August 2007, Mr. Wang Hongwei, a Falun Gong practitioner from Tongzhou, Beijing, was arrested by Chaoyang Police Precinct officers. He is now detained in Chaoyang District Detention Center.
CCP authorities in Chengdu City arrested Falun Gong practitioners, conficate their properties and brainwash them in the so called "Legal Education Team", where they were force-fed, drugged or raped and became mentally collapsed.
