Because of practicing Falun Gong, Mr. Yu Shanqi was imprisoned in a forced labor camp, then he suffered three months of psychiatric persecution in a mental hospital. On December 19, 2008, while he was taking in his ID card, the police abducted him again for a "psychiatric diagnosis" and then forced his family to inject him with psychiatric drugs.
Mr. Sun, a former employee in the Education Department of Harbin Normal University, is currently serving his fourth sentence since 2000.
He had been in good health prior to his imprisonment.
