(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Chen Saiyu, 75, is a resident of Xiapu County, Ningde City, Fujian Province. She started practicing Falun Gong in 1998, and her five illnesses subsequently disappeared. She has since 1999 been repeatedly persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). In 2001, she was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center for one hundred days. In 2002 and 2003, she was twice forced to leave her home to avoid the persecution. In 2005, she was unlawfully sentenced to three years and tortured at the Fujian Women's Prison. Before she was released from the prison in 2008, she was taken to a remote village in Qingliu, Fujian Province and brainwashed there. On June 26, 2011, she was again taken away.

Five Illnesses Cured, Three Parties Benefited
My name is Chen Saiyu, and I am 75 years old. More than thirty years ago, I was forced to retire early because of several illnesses. I had five different illnesses and I had to see the doctor every month. In 1998 I started practicing Falun Gong. I gradually got healthier, and all the illnesses I had just disappeared. For the past twelve years, I have not seen a doctor nor gone to a hospital. I also haven't taken any tonics. I just eat whatever my family members eat. I take it easy and my vision returned to how it was when I was young. I no longer need my glasses. I can even clearly see insects that are smaller than ants. I look younger and am energetic. No one can tell my true age.
I believe that Falun Gong benefits three parties: 1. The nation benefits. For the past twelve years, I did not need to see any doctors, and I have saved the country hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical costs. 2. My children benefit. Since I became healthier after practicing Falun Gong, I no longer bothered my children with taking care of me. 3. The world's people benefit. I try my best to be a good person in society, and don't compete with others. Whenever I come across conflicts, I look inside to find my own problems, and I don't fight or curse back.
Unlawfully Detained When I Made a Legitimate Appeal
On July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party started the persecution of Falun Gong. I was thinking, “It's such a good practice, so why are we common people not allowed to practice? What did Falun Gong do wrong? Falun Gong gave me good health, and made my family harmonious.” Everyone says that we should give back for whatever blessings we receive. So when they started to persecute Falun Gong, and when I heard people curse Dafa and Master, I really wanted to step forward to say something fair for Falun Gong. So on July 19, 2000, I went with some fellow practitioners to Beijing to say some just words for Dafa. The next day, I was stopped at the Beijing Railway Station by officers from the Political and Security Section of the Xiapu County Public Security Bureau. I was prevented from going to the national appeals office, and I was taken back and detained for ten days.
Arrested and Held in a Brainwashing Center for Over One Hundred Days
I have since been continuously harassed and unlawfully searched by agents from the CCP 610 Office. In October 2001, the Xiapu 610 Office set up a brainwashing center in a village called Shuimokeng. The purpose was to force Falun Gong practitioners to give up their cultivation. This group of people wasted a large amount of tax-payer's money. Many government officials drove over for free meals whenever the meals were ready.
I remember that on October 16, at 3:00 p.m., Biyun, who was the Party secretary general of the Zhongcheng Street Neighborhood, asked to me go immediately to Shuimokeng Brainwashing Center. I told him that my son and daughter-in-law both went to Guangzhou for medical check-ups, and I had to take care of their daughter who went to school, so I could not go. As a result, Biyun called over three groups of people, from Songcheng Town, the police station, and the street neighborhood committee. This big group of people took me away without saying anything. Biyun also called the police to break down my door. Half of the door lock fell to the floor. All the door locks in the house were broken and the doors would not close. There was no one else was at home at the time, and this evil group of people pushed me to the floor and dragged me dozens of yards to the door of the Hebian grocery market. They then threw me into their vehicle and drove away.
The witnesses didn't know what on earth this old lady had done to cause so many people to come and arrest her. Xu Bin cursed Falun Gong out loud, and then the people understood. No matter how evil these people were, force can never change a person's heart. I didn't give in for a single day after I was arrested and taken to the brainwashing center. Lin Xiaoxian, the brainwashing center monitor, came to talk to me, continually trying to force me to be brainwashed until the last few days prior to the brainwashing center being dismantled. One night at 9:00 p.m., he came to my room, cursing Falun Gong and me. At 10:00 p.m., Lin Xiaoxian received retribution and had a heart attack and was sent to the hospital. The next day, the other people were afraid and they released me.
Forced to Leave Home Twice
The Lantern Festival in 2002 had just passed when I heard that they were still going to hold brainwashing sessions, and planned to use more severe brainwashing techniques on Falun Gong practitioners. So on the seventeenth of the first month in the Chinese calendar I was forced to leave home. At that time, I was 66 years old, and I became homeless for over one year. This is how I became homeless for the first time.
On May 7, 2003 I was reported to the police for giving out truth clarifying materials exposing the CCP lies. At 6:00 p.m., Ou Xiaomin brought a group people to search my home and arrest me. Luckily I was not at home. Thanks to some good people’s protection, I escaped, but I was forced to leave home and became homeless for over two years, enduring all kinds of suffering. I could not return home until May 9, 2005. This is how I became homeless the second time.
Unlawfully Sentenced to a Three-Year Term
On September 23, 2005, just a few days after I came home, since I was followed by the evil people, I was unlawfully arrested by Ou Xiaomin. When they were taking notes, they made up lies and framed me. As a result, I was unlawfully sentenced to three years and jailed at Fujian Province Women's Prison.
I was first sent to the Rujian Team, which was the first stop at the prison for practitioners being persecuted. Day and night the police took turns attempting to brainwash me. They forced me to watch videos that defamed Master and Dafa, and tried to force me to write the three statements, and force me to be "transformed." I refused to cooperate with them, so they took me out and punished me by making me stand for a long periond of time, and deprived me of sleep. They forced me to recite the jail rules and I had to do the drills and line-up training even at my old age.
Since I refused to give up my belief, when they transferred me to the squadron, the police used a variety of means to persecute me. These evil officers wanted to benefit from torturing me so that they could get promoted. They forced me to read CCP books and forced me write my understanding to their satisfaction. If they weren't satisfied, they deprived me of sleep. We were allowed only five minutes to finish every meal. The jail purposely found some vicious prisoners to monitor me. They hired three persons to limit my activities, and they didn't allow me to talk to other practitioners. They constrained me even when I went out for labor, came back from labor, used the washroom, cleaned up, and washed the dishes. I was forced to do slave labor by day, and extra labor at night. I sometimes had to work on handcrafts until 11:00 p.m. or midnight.
Before Being Released, I Was Put in a Brainwashing Center in a Remote Area
On April 16, 2008, just before I was supposed to be released, since I was steadfast in my belief I was taken by an officer with the last name of Guo to a remote mountainous area in Qingliu, Fujiang Province. The 610 Office had set up a brainwashing center, and started a new round of persecution of practitioners who hadn't given in. I was detained there for over seventy days, during which time I was subjected to a variety of tortures. I was forced to watch the TV programs that were full of lies every night until midnight. I was then handcuffed and forced to sleep on the floor. At 6:00 a.m. when I got up, I was again forced to watch the slanderous videos. If I refused, I was handcuffed again. At noon when everyone else was taking a nap, I was forced to continue watching the videos. It was like this continuously for over seventy days.
The meals I was given had no salt or oil, and consisted of only 50 or 100 grams of food. Since I refused to co-operate, the evil officer with the last name of Guo wanted to stab me in the back, and he touched my vital points. She was cursing Dafa and Master at the same time. I was reading quietly in my mind, “Steadfastly cultivate Dafa, the will unflinching.” (“True Nature Revealed” from Essentials for Further Advancement II) The officer started to feel scared when she saw no effect in touching my vital points.
I clarified the truth to the team leader by saying that “Falun Dafa is good, and Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa. The CCP prevents us from clarifying the truth. They fabricated and forced the offense onto us. Falun Gong is unfairly treated.” The guards forced me to signthe labor summary form and the prisoners form once per month. I refused, and they asked me “why?” I said that Falun Gong practitioners follow the principles of “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” to be good people. What is wrong with being good people? How can we become offenders?”
Before they tried to brainwash me, the police tried to convert me to Buddhism. I wrote them a note, saying, “It isn't wrong for me to take Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance as my teacher.” One day before I was released, I wrote a letter to the police, telling them that we are cultivators at this very special period of time. We have no temples, no churches, and we are not a religion like everyday people are familiar with. We know and cherish that Falun Dafa is good. We see clearly that Jiang Zemin is the chief criminal. I know in my heart that it isn't wrong to cultivate the righteous Fa and walk on a righteous path.
Persecuted Continues after Being Released from Prison
I was previously a human being full of karma. Dafa and Master saved me with compassion. I believe that the heavenly law is fair, and it is wrong to persecute good people. The evil officers named Ou Xiaomin and Ruan Shixuan from Xiapu Domestic Security Division are still committing crimes against Dafa by not letting practitioners clarify the truth and let the world's people know the true facts. On the evening of June 26, 2011, the policewoman Ou Xiaomin arrested my fellow practitioners and me for giving out Shen Yun DVDs. Our homes were unlawfully searched and even the money in our wallets was taken.
