Additional Persecution News from China – October 31, 2011 (18 Reports)

(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties, in eight provinces. According to this report, 14 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 16 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Anqing, Anhui Province] 82-Year-Old Ms. Chen Jiuru Died As a Result of Persecution

After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, Ms. Chen Jiuru, 82, from Anqing City, was harassed, had her home ransacked, and was incarcerated in a brainwashing center. Participating in the persecution were Anqing City 610 Office agents, the State Security Division, and police officers. The latest incident of harassment occurred in August 2011, when neighborhood committee officers went to her home, threatening to send her to a brainwashing center. Overcome with fright, Ms. Chen died on October 2, 2011.

2. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Circumstances of Ms. Tang Aiying

Ms. Tang Aiying, 69, originally from Hunan Province took a train from Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province, to Yingde City where she lives on October 28, 2011. After she spoke with passengers about Falun Gong, officers took her to the Guangzhou City Railway Police Department and transferred her to the Nanjing City Railway Police Department in Jiangsu Province the next day.

3. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Mr. Shi Yunxi and Ms. Zhang Xiurong Arrested

About eight officers from the Mengshan Management Committee and the Taoxu Town 610 Office arrested Ms. Zhang Xiurong, in her 70s, on October 22, 2011. Ms. Zhang is a resident of Huaguozhuang Village, Taoxu Town. She is currently in the Mengyin County 610 Office Brainwashing Center.

Mengshan Management Committee officers arrested Mr. Shi Yunxi from Labayu Villae, Taoxu Town the same day.

Ms. Zheng Hongqin from Yushu City was arrested on October 1, 2011, as she spoke with people about Falun Gong in the countryside. She is currently in the Yushu City Detention Center.

5. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Additional Information Regarding the Arrest of Ms. Wang Yi

Ms. Wang Yi, 60, from Shou'an, the Wenjiang District, was arrested in front of her home on the morning of October 16, 2011. Two plainclothes officers from the Shou'an Police Station took her to the Shou'an Police Station and transferred her to the Yongsheng Detention Center that same afternoon.

She was then taken to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center on October 28.

6. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Peng Xianglian Arrested

Ms. Peng Xianglian, about 60 years old, from Daying County was arrested at home in mid-October 2011. Officers from the 610 Office, the police station, and the State Security Division made the arrest and took her to the Daying County Detention Center.

7. [Linqu, Shandong Province] Ms. Dou Jinxian Arrested

Ms. Dou Jinxian from Linqu was arrested on October 27, 2011, by officers from the Nanguan Police Station. She is currently in the county's detention center.

8. [Bin County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Zhenxian Sentenced to Forced Labor

Mr. Liu Zhenxian from Shengli Town was sentenced to two years of forced labor and taken to the Qianjin Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City.

9. [Neijiang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. He Li from Metal Forming Factory Arrested and Taken to a Brainwashing Center in Early October 2011

10. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] 70-Year-Old Ms. He Li Arrested

Ms. Tan Guiying, 70, is retired from the Neijiang City Metal Forming Factory. She was arrested and taken to the Lanshi Police Station the afternoon of October 29, 2011.

11. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Ding Xueping and Four Others Arrested

Mr. Ding Xueping, Ms. Li Huihui, and three other practitioners were arrested on the afternoon of October 29, 2011, by officers from the Yilan County Domestic Security Division. Three practitioners were released, but Mr. Ding and Ms. Li are still being detained.

Ms. Hu Xiuchun, Ms. Liu Xueshu, and ten other practitioners were recently arrested and taken to the Wusheng County Brainwashing Center.

13. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Additional Information Regarding the Arrest of Ms. Li Honglian

Ms. Li Honglian from the Beilin District was arrested at home on the afternoon of October 27, 2011. Her computer, printer, CD burner, and other personal belongings were confiscated. She is currently in the Suihua Detention Center.

14. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Additional Information Regarding the Arrests of Ms. Guo Jiaqin, Ms. Qiao Junying, and Ms. Xue Qingxiang

Ms. Guo Jiaqin from Yinzhu Town was arrested on October 18, 2011, and Ms. Qiao Junying from Zhangjialou Town was arrested on October 19. The two practitioners are currently in the Zhangqiu Brainwashing Center in Jinan City.

Ms. Xue Qingxiang from Jiaonan City was arrested on October 27 as she spoke with people about Falun Gong. She is currently in a detention center.

Ms. Wen Yumei from Huairou was arrested on April 16, 2011. She has been held in the Shunyi Detention Center. She was recently given a three-year prison term and sent to the Beijing Women's Prison.

16. [Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Xu Xuejin Arrested

Mr. Xu Xuejin from Mutouchengzi Town was arrested on the morning of October 26, 2011. Participating in the arrest were officers from the Chaoyang County Domestic Security Division and the Mutouchengzi Town Police Station. The police confiscated Falun Gong informational materials from his home. Mr. Xu is currently in the Xidayingzi Detention Center.

18. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Du Juying Detained

Ms. Du Juying, an employee from the Gezhouba Dam Power Plant, was arrested on October 17, 2011, as she spoke with people about Falun Gong in the Yiling District. She was detained for two weeks.
