(Clearwisdom.net) In September and October 2011, Falun Gong practitioners were arrested both individually and in groups, detained, sent to forced labor camps, and sentenced to prison. The prisons, labor camps and brainwashing centers in China continue to torture practitioners who are steadfast in their belief. Many cases of severe torture were reported, including death from torture.

Practitioners were brutally mistreated while being arrested. On September 5, 2011, when 14 practitioners were arrested by the Qian'an City police, they pulled Ms. Wang Weiyue and Ms. Guo Yan by the hair into police vehicles. Their hair was pulled out in big clumps and Ms. Guo Yan's back was injured. On September 14, 2011, more than ten officers hid outside Ms. Zhang Aigong's home over night. They forcefully entered her home in the morning when her family opened the door. She was carried downstairs and taken to the Gulou Brainwashing center. Ms. Zhang is an engineer employed by the Nanjing 14th Research Institute. (http://www.clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2011/10/11/128687.html)
Mr. Sun Yi, 39, was planting rice in a water-field with his elderly parents when officers from the Fucheng District Police Department in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province came to arrest him. Teachers, engineers, government employees, and businessmen are targets of the persecution. Ms. Liu Ronghua is an Associate Professor employed by the Dalian City Ocean Production Institute in Liaoning Province. The two-year forced labor camp sentence that she was serving ended on September 22, 2011. Deliberate Violations of the Law
The CCP first accuses unjustly and then the accused go to trial. In the first half of 2011, the Zicheng District Court in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, put 74-year-old Ms. Bao Xiaomei, 72-year-old Jin Peizhen, and 67-year-old Zhang Wanfei on trial. The Wuchang District Court Judge, Zhang Wei, dared to say, “Why are you requesting the sentencing statement?” (http://clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2011/12/4/129843.html)
A similar incident happened in Qingdao City, Shandong Province. Mr. Wu Zhanwei, who lives in the Huangdao District, was arrested on June 11, 2011. On October 10, 2011, his family received a phone call saying that he had been sentenced to four years in prison. His family never received any trial information, or a sentencing statement. (http://clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2011/11/23/129656.html)
The CCP court judges prohibit practitioners from hiring lawyers. They use unjust means to interfere with the work of the lawyers. Mr. Zuo Fusheng of Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, was arrested on January 19, 2011. His trial was in February 2011. His lawyer submitted a request to the Fuzhou City Domestic Security, stating that the defendant's basic rights had been violated. At present there has been no response from the Procuratorate. In October 2011, Mr. Zuo's nearly 80-year-old mother and his lawyer were denied visitation. His lawyer was not allowed to read his files. (http://clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2011/11/24/129675.html).
Mr. Shang Xingde lives in Qingdao City, Shandong Province. His family hired a lawyer to defend him. The CCP court secretary, Wang Zhishuang, and Judge Yu Yong, erroneously told his family that Mr. Shang had requested to stop using his lawyer. They created many obstacles. One judge from Laoshan said to Mr. Shang, “Just because you hired a lawyer, we will sentence you to three years!” (http://clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2011/11/18/129544.html)

One of her legs was severely atrophied and the other leg was beginning to atrophy. She experiences great pain when walking. (http://www.clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2011/10/21/128896.html)
Guards commonly use the incentive of reducing criminal inmates' prisons terms if they will engage in mistreatment of detained practitioners. For example, at the Liaoning Province Women's Prison, guards encouraged prisoner Meng Xianqiu, to beat practitioner Chen Yuerong. Meng is serving a 12-year term for committing a financial crime. Murderer Zhang Hongqi put a used tampon into a practitioner's mouth. This act was tolerated and encouraged by the guards. (http://clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2011/11/23/129661.html)

Ms. Li Dongqing
Ms. Li Dongqing, 49, lived in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. She was first sentenced to three years of imprisonment in September 1999, at the notorious Masanjia Prison. Before she was released, she was sentenced to another five years, which she served at the Liaoning Province Women's Prison. Later, she was locked in a mental hospital. Over a period of a year and 4 months, she was tortured with the following methods: locked in a small cell, brutal beating, and electric baton shocks. Her body was constantly covered with wounds, and she once suffered a nervous breakdown. Ms. Li's husband divorced her, and her young daughter was discriminated against, which caused her a great amount of mental stress. Forced to quit school, the daughter had to denounce Ms. Li as her mother in order to regain school admittance. Brainwashing caused Ms. Li insurmountable mental damage, and finally her death. The camp authority called his family and told them to come and get him. After he returned home, the local police constantly harassed and threatened him. He became paralyzed at the end of 2009, and he died in September 2011. (http://www.clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2011/10/28/129048.html)
People Forced to Fill-in “Promise Card” in Many Regions
In September, the Tengzhou City 610 Office in Shandong Province forced the delivery and signature of “Family Refuse Cult Promise Card.” This also occurred in Xingtai City, Hebei Province. Community administrations, village committees, and schools collected signatures from each family on such cards. Community administrations collected signatures door to door.
Internet Blockade
According to reliable sources, the CCP has increased its blockade of the Internet since September 2011. Starting in September 2011, the Internet police force of Jibeisanshi County, Dalian City increased to 4,600 members. The CCP is making great attempts to find practitioners who expose persecution facts online. For instance, the domestic security division, 610 Office, and the police from Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province, found an article online that reported how Ms. Liu Cuiyun had been brutally mistreated during the 12 years that Falun Gong has been persecuted. Officers climbed over the wall of Ms. Liu's home in Jinling Town, Zhaoyuan City, and she was arrested and detained in the Lingnan brainwashing center. She was locked in solitary confinement in an attempt to get her to tell the police who had exposed her case online. (See http://clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2011/11/10/129348.html)
