Additional Persecution News from China – September 22, 2012 (20 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 5 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 22 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Haicheng City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Tian Baodong and Mr. Cui Chunbiao Detained

Mr. Tian Baodong and Mr. Cui Chunbiao, in his 70s, were arrested by officers from the Haicheng Domestic Security Division and Niuzhuang Police Station on September 16, 2012. They are being held at the Haicheng Detention Center.

Mr. Tian was sentenced to forced labor in 2006 and incarcerated at the Anshan Forced Labor Camp for 2 years. He was severely persecuted there. He couldn't walk on his own after the release and lost the ability to work.

Mr. Cui was arrested at home in 2007 and sentenced to 4 years in prison. He was incarcerated at the Dalian Prison and released in 2011.

Mr. Gao Weizhong was arrested while telling people about Falun Gong on September 21, 2012. He is being held at the Daqing First Detention Center.

3. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ya Lin and Ms. Fan Shufen Detained

Ms. Ya Lin and Ms. Fan Shufen were arrested by officers from the Chengxi Police Station in Fumeng County on September 14, 2012, while speaking to people about Falun Gong. They are being held at the Xindi Detention Center.

4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Yunxia and Ms. Wang Caiyun Detained

Ms. Zhao Yunxia and Ms. Wang Caiyun were arrested and taken to the Huagong Police Station on the afternoon of September 20, 2012. They are being held at the Yaziquan Detention Center.

5. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Fajuan and Ms. Zheng Yulan Arrested

Ms. Wang Fajuan and Ms. Zheng Yulan were arrested on September 18, 2012, by plainclothes offices from the Chengfeng Police Department, including deputy director Zhang Junchang. The police also confiscated more than 50 Falun Gong books. Ms. Zheng was released that night. Ms. Wang was sent to the Daqing First Detention center:

6. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Fengzhen and Ms. Sun Suzhen Arrested

Ms. Wang Fengzhen was reading Falun Gong books at another practitioner's home on September 13, 2012, when several officers broke in and arrested her and Ms. Sun Suzhen. Ms. Wang and Ms. Sun were taken to the local police station. They were released the next day. The police ransacked Ms. Wang's home and confiscated more than 7,000 yuan in cash, as well as jewelery and other personal belongings.

7. [Beijing] Ms. Ren Jianying Arrested

Ms. Ren Jianying was arrested in early September 2012.

8. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Wang Jian Sent to Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Wang Jian, about 35, was arrested by officers from the Caotangping Police Station in early June 2012, while distributing Falun Gong informational materials in Hu County. He was sentenced to forced labor in early August and is being incarcerated at the Guo Town Forced Labor Camp.

9. [Beijing] Ms. Shi Fuqin Arrested

Ms. Shi Fuqin, about 57, was arrested by officers from the Xingshou Town Police Station and Beishicao Town Police Station in early September 2012, while speaking to people about Falun Gong.

10. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Zhang Wanrui Arrested

Mr. Zhang Wanrui was arrested at home by officers from the Jianxi District on September 20, 2012.

11. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zheng Baokui Arrested

Officers from the Xiaoji Town Police Station broke into Mr. Zheng Baokui's home on September 15, 2012. The police ransacked Mr. Zheng's home and confiscated a laptop, printer and Falun Gong books. Mr. Zheng was arrested.

12. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Song Zhi Detained

Mr. Song Zhi, 35, was arrested in mid-September 2012. He is being held at the Yanliang District Detention Center.

Mr. Song had been detained six times in the past. He was held in a brainwashing center five times. He was sentenced to two years of forced labor in 2000 and 14 months of forced labor in 2006.

13. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Hongjun, Mr. Sun Hongzhu, and Mr. Sun Luwen Detained

Mr. Liu Hongjun, Mr. Sun Hongzhu, and Mr. Sun Luwen were arrested on September 7, 2012, by officers from the Domestic Security Division, led by chief Liu Lianshe. All three practitioners are being held at the Shouguang Detention Center.

14. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shan Meirong Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Shan Meirong was arrested on September 5, 2012, by officers from the Shouguang Domestic Security Division and Yangkou Police Department, led by deputy chief Guo Hongtang. Ms. Shan is being held at a brainwashing center located at the Shouguang Ammunition Depot.

15. [Fucheng County, Hebei Province] Mr. Fan Zhanfeng Detained

Mr. Fan Zhanfeng., from Xiaogao Village, Matou Town, was arrested by officers from the Liuji Police Station on September 21, 2012, while speaking to people about Falun Gong. He is being detained in Jing County.

16. [Chongqing] Mr. Yang Shaowei Arrested

Mr. Yang Shaowei, 32, from Jiangjin District, was arrested in West Building Materials Market by officers from the Yubei District Police Station on August 13, 2012. The police confiscated his computer and two DVD players that are worth 5,000 yuan.

17. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Li Fuhong's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Li Fuhong, in his 40s, was arrested in early September. His current whereabouts are unknown.

18. [Langzhong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. He Shuhua Taken to Xishan Brainwashing Center

Ms. He Shuhua was arrested in early September while speaking to people about Falun Gong. She was taken to a detention center and later to the Xishan Brainwashing Center in Nanchong City.

19. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yang Fujun and Mr. Li Shusen Held at Brainwashing Center

Mr. Yang Fujun and Mr. Li Shusen are being held at a brainwashing center.

20. [Ningxiang County, Hunan Province] Ms. Ye Haihua Detained

Ms. Ye Haihua, 51, was arrested at home on September 17, 2012, by the Forestry Bureau personnel Huang Xinhui and Huang Weide, and five officers from the Meijiatian Police Station. The police confiscated Falun Gong books and materials. Ms. Ye is being held at the Ningxiang County Detention Center.
