(Minghui.org) On November 1, 2013, Falun Gong practitioners gathered in front of the Regensburg Cathedral of St. Peter in Bavaria, Germany, to hold a Falun Gong Information Day and collect signatures condemning the Chinese communist regime's crimes against humanity.
The regime has persecuted millions of peaceful, law-abiding citizens in China for their belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, the guiding principles of Falun Gong, over the past 14 and a half years.
Practitioners explain the facts about Falun Gong in front of the Regensburg Cathedral of St. Peter in Bavaria, Germany.
The event attracted locals and tourists alike, who stopped by the informational display to learn more about Falun Gong and voice their support for the practitioners' efforts to end the persecution in China.
A Polish man told the practitioners that although the Soviet Union's Communist Party had murdered millions of Poles using its notorious Red Army, he still felt that the Chinese people have suffered more than the Poles had. He said that he wanted to learn more about Falun Gong online.
A Vietnamese priest spoke to the practitioners about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Once he understood what was going on, he immediately signed the petition. He thanked the practitioners for having provided him with a flier in Vietnamese.
A Spanish tourist said that he had never heard about the persecution of Falun Gong. Once he learned that the Chinese regime has killed thousands of Falun Gong practitioners for their organs—extracting organs while they were still alive—he immediately signed the petition, saying, “These perpetrators should be severely punished! How could they persecute people who believe in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance?!”
A group of Italian tourists also gladly signed the petition to show their support for Falun Gong and condemn the regime's blatant disregard for human rights.
A Chinese student chatted with the practitioners after he had exited the cathedral. The practitioners told him that there is a heavenly principle that good will be rewarded and evil punished. After he learned the facts about Chinese regime's persecution of Falun Gong, he decided to withdraw from the Communist Youth League and Young Pioneers, the regime-affiliated youth leagues.
Many local residents also supported the practitioners' signature drive. A German man said that he felt sorry for all of the practitioners who have suffered under the dictatorship of the Chinese Communist Party. “Everyone has a right to be free!” he exclaimed. He praised the practitioners for standing up for their belief and wished them success with their signature collection.
A German woman stopped to talk to the practitioners about the persecution. Once she learned about the Chinese regime's live organ harvesting, she immediately signed the petition, saying, “I can't allow something this cruel to happen!”
A couple from the former East Germany said that they were fully aware of the evils of communism and fully supported the practitioners’ efforts to expose the Chinese communist regime's atrocities to the world.
Some people asked for several petition forms so that their family and friends could also show their support for Falun Gong.
