Additional Persecution News from China – November 9, 2013 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 4 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 14 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wu Guiqin, Ms. Qi Junrong, Mr. Gao Yumin, Mr. Jin Xing, and Ms. Yang Shufen were arrested on November 6, 2013, while talking to people about Falun Gong and the persecution. They were taken to the Xindi Detention Center. Officers from the Zhanggutai Town Internal Security Division of Zhangwu County made the arrest.

2. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Guoyan Arrested

Ms. Liu Guoyan was arrested at her workplace by officers from the Bayuquan District Domestic Security Division on November 6, 2013. Officers ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, Falun Gong books, and informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Liu was later released because she failed the physical examination.

3. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yan Xiuyan Arrested

Ms. Yan Xiuyan was arrested on November 5, 2013.

4. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Xu Yafan, Ms. Cao Shuqin, Ms. Huang, Ms. Jiang Yajun, and Ms. Li Shujie were arrested at Ms. Huang’s home by officers from the Zhaoyuan County Police Department on the morning of November 6, 2013. Ms. Xu, Ms. Cao, and Ms. Huang were released that evening. Ms. Jiang and Ms. Li are being held at the Zhaoyuan County Detention Center.

5. [Ordos City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Yang Guizhen and Ms. Yang Fan Arrested

Ms. Yang Guizhen and her daughter Ms. Yang Fan were arrested at the end of October 2013. Officials are planing to sentence them to 3-5 years in prison.

6. [Meihekou City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yu Shuhua, Ms. Xiaolianzi, and Ms. Hu Shumei were arrested on November 8, 2013.

7. [Zaoqiang County, Hebei Province] Ms. Meng Xianqun Arrested

Ms. Meng Xianqun was arrested by officers from the Hengshui Domestic Security Division on November 7, 2013.

8. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xiuying Sent to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Wang Xiuying was arrested by officers from the Gudao Community Security Center on November 5, 2013, while posting stickers with information about Falun Gong and the persecution. She was taken to the Gudao Chaoyang Police Station. Police confiscated her Falun Gong books and copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. She was later transferred to the Shengli Jishu Oil Production Plant's Brainwashing Center.

9. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Lang Dafen and Ms. Chen Zhengping Detained

Ms. Lang Dafen and Ms. Chen Zhengping were arrested on July 28, 2013, while distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong in the Xiaobi Village in Nanming District. They are being held at the Nanming District Detention Center. Ms. Lang recently displayed symptoms of a mental disorder due to being injected unknown drugs.

10. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wu Zhonglun Detained

Mr. Wu Zhonglun was arrested by Zeng Guohua and Xu Chengzhong from the Zianan District Domestic Security Division, Jia Guangtao from the Nandajia Community, and the 110 Squad officers on the morning of October 22, 2013. He was taken to the Xianning City Addiction Treatment Center, which serves as a detention facility to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.
