(Minghui.org) The Chinese communist regime continues to persecute Falun Gong practitioners all across China. Below is a summary of recent persecution cases from Acheng District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province.
In the quest for political power, Jiang Dayong, the newly appointed director of the Acheng District Police Department, ordered deputy captain Yang Ziheng and others from the local Domestic Security Division to violently persecute Falun Gong practitioners.
As a result, six practitioners were arrested in just four months. Three of them were sentenced to prison, and one was taken to a brainwashing center.
Hu Zhenqiu, the former director, was also active in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. He now has lymphoma.
Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Wang Qiuxia, Ms. Liu Guiying and Ms. Zhao Caihong from Acheng District were secretly tried by the Harbin City Court in October 2013. Ms. Wang, 57, was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment, Ms. Liu to five years and Ms. Zhao to four years.
Ms. Liu and Ms. Zhao were maliciously framed and illegally arrested by officers from the Daling Police Station on June 5, 2013. They were held at the Acheng Detention Center No. 2 for 15 days, before being transferred to the Harbin City Detention Center No. 2.
Yang Ziheng from the Domestic Security Division and officers from the Jinshangjing Police Station broke into Ms. Wang's home around the same time and arrested her. They confiscated her Falun Gong books and informational materials, a computer, two printers, 10,000 yuan in cash, and other belongings.
Ms. Fu Ge, in her 60s, and Ms. Han Shuqing were arrested on June 15, 2013, by officers from the Domestic Security Division. However, they were subsequently released.
Retired Teachers Persecuted
Ms. Duan Xiufang, a retired teacher from Acheng, had her home ransacked by deputy captain Yang Ziheng and three other officers from the Domestic Security Division on March 26, 2013.
Mr. Xie Xianbin, also a retired teacher from Acheng, was reported to the police on April 3, 2013, for practicing Falun Gong. Deputy captain Yang Ziheng and two other officers took him to the backyard of the Acheng District Court and robbed his home before releasing him.
Yang went to his home again on May 20, 2013, but Mr. Xie did not open the door. Yang then blocked his door from the outside and, together with several agents from the local 610 Office, took Mr. Xie to the Acheng District Government around 8 a.m. the next day.
Wang Xiaoguang, the head of the 610 Office, two staff members of the Education Department, and the principal of the No. 1 High School in Acheng District were waiting for them. They took Mr. Xie to a brainwashing center, but seeing that Mr. Xie could not be brainwashed, they released him around 4 p.m.
