(Minghui.org) Lately, I have been thinking about what Master said in the “Teaching the Fa in New York City” from Lectures in the United States:
“When you don’t consider it sickness you truly have a high-level understanding of this matter, rather than an ordinary human way of thinking.”
“But if you want to cultivate into a Buddha, your understanding has to be extraordinary in every regard.”
How should I look at things so that my understanding is extraordinary in every regard? As practitioners, how should we look at and understand the things we use, the different relationships and issues in society, and all matter on Earth?
My understanding is that all beings, including all matter, are here for the Fa, so there is no difference between a family member or an enemy. The old forces are using them to test us, and will eventually destroy them. Master, however, wants us to save them.
If one's Celestial Eye is open and this person could see the truth of all matter, he would see that everything, including food, cell phones, clothes, video cameras, etc., are all living beings.
In the past, I was afraid of getting arrested when I went to post truth clarification materials. Before going out, I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate all bad elements used by the old forces to persecute practitioners—for example, to make things like camcorders or other types of monitoring devices stop working, so they couldn't be used by sentient beings to commit wrongdoing against practitioners.
I was afraid of being recorded on camcorders. Since I couldn't see through the illusion, I didn't realize that the things people used were also waiting to be saved, and subconsciously thought that they were used to persecute us.
If we don't discard our notions, we won't be able to reach the standard of a divine being, no matter how much we do.
Practitioners in my area have recently been talking about security issues. We should pay attention to our safety, but we shouldn't do it solely because we are afraid of getting arrested. Real safety comes from being selfless, cultivating based on the Fa principles, looking at things beyond the human mindset, and letting go of all human notions and fear.
When we treat all things with righteous thoughts, we can save more sentient beings, including the police that persecute us and all matter. We should send forth righteous thoughts more often, so that less sentient beings will be destroyed. This is truly negating and ending the persecution, and walking the divine path that Master arranged for us.
Master said,
“Righteous thoughts each step of the way, Divine beings are present in this world.” (“Stirred by Reflection”)
Let's become divine beings in the human world.
