(Minghui.org) People around the world are becoming increasingly aware of the genocide of Falun Gong practitioners in China. More and more people in China are also beginning to see through the communist regime's propaganda that defames Falun Gong. As such, the Chinese authorities are increasingly under pressure to halt their evil deeds.
Some police officers who used to harass and torture Falun Gong practitioners have stopped committing such acts after realizing the truth. Below are two examples.
I. Police Officer: “You're OK to Distribute Materials Within Our Locality”
On one occasion, a practitioner was distributing materials about the persecution of Falun Gong in a residential community. She approached a lady at her front door and gave her the information. That lady happened to be the director of the neighborhood committee, as well as a staff member of the 610 Office.
She pulled the practitioner inside her home, saying angrily: “I really don't understand you guys. Even after so many years of persecution you don't back down and have in fact become even bolder. In the past you guys would deliver flyers to each door at night. Now you even face us in broad daylight and give us information directly.”
The practitioner proceeded to clarify the facts about the persecution. The director calmed down and said: “Fine. This time I won't call the police or take to you the police station. Leave your address and go home.”
The next morning, this practitioner heard someone knocking at her door. Through her front security door, she saw three people standing outside: a policeman and two people from her neighborhood committee. There was only one room in her home, and the printing machine, used for making informational materials, was placed there. Thus, the practitioner felt that she couldn't let them inside.
The policeman asked from outside: “Did you distribute Falun Gong-related materials in another community yesterday?” The practitioner replied: “I distribute truth- clarification materials to allow people to understand Falun Gong and that it's being wrongfully persecuted. Doing so is for human rights and is a magnificent deed. I didn't do anything wrong. You can't harass me. I won't open the door for you.”
The three people looked embarrassed. After a moment of silence, the policeman said: “You're OK to distribute materials within our locality, but please don't go outside of our locality.” The other two people from the neighborhood committee agreed with him, saying: “Better not to go to other areas.”
II. Deputy Director of the Local 610 Office Quits the Party
The deputy director of a particular police station was quite ferocious in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. He used to punch practitioners, grab them by their hair and ram them into the wall. This year, this deputy director was transferred to the 610 Office in another neighborhood. He came to harass practitioners whenever there was a sensitive date designated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
One practitioner always clarified the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution to him.
This December, during the third plenary session of the CCP's Central Committee, the deputy director paid a visit to this practitioner's home. Surprisingly, he came alone. The practitioner took the opportunity to try to persuade him to stop persecuting and torturing Falun Gong practitioners.
The deputy director appeared quite afraid of meeting retribution for all of his wrongdoing. In fact, he even expressed how regretful he was for getting involved in the persecution. He asked the practitioner: “What should I do now?”
The practitioner replied: “Raise your hand and swear to quit the Party and its affiliated organizations. And declare that you will never persecute Falun Gong again.”
The deputy director raised his right hand and declared: “My name is XX. I firmly declare that I quit the Party and its affiliated organizations. From now on, I will never persecute Falun Gong practitioners again.” Then he asked: “Just by doing that, does it work? Shouldn't you tell your master?”
The practitioner said: “Once you raise your hand to give an oath, our Master is already aware. Besides that, I'll give you an alias, which I will use to announce your declaration to quit the CCP online. As divine beings regard the true wish in a person's heart most important, using an alias is acceptable.”
The deputy director understood and nodded in acceptance. Then he said: “Actually I really want to read Zhuan Falun and find out what makes you guys so firm in your belief. You're not even afraid of death. Would you give me a copy of Zhuan Falun ?”
