(Minghui.org) I started practicing Falun Dafa in April 1997. One day when I was visiting my older sister, she told me: “Go practice Falun Gong.” She said, “Upon doing so, you will have the Law Body of Dafa's Master safeguarding you from accidents and problems.”
I thought Falun Dafa was just a type of regular Qigong at that time, but I became very interested in the word "Law Body." When I got home that night, I went out to our backyard. I thought to myself: “If this is the real deal, I will practice it if I get a response after I call out three times.”
I called out Master's name. (I am sorry that I was not respectful to Master then. I am also using this article to say to Master: “Thank you for not giving up on me!”) The second time I called out Master's name, I was able to feel a hand touching my head, moving from the back of my head to my forehead and then going backward. From the bottom of my heart, I was really shocked. I have no language to describe the shock I experienced. Wow, this Qigong was for real! I had no doubt about it. I started my cultivation practice in Dafa and have never wavered in my belief.
I. Master Cleansed and Purified My Body
On the very evening that I decided to practice Falun Dafa, I started to have diarrhea, seven to eight times in one single night. However, strangely, I did not feel tired at all. The workers in my shop also thought that there was something miraculous about it. I only learned afterwards upon reading the book that it was Master adjusting my body for me! Master said:
"Perhaps everyone has heard this statement in Buddhism: “When one’s Buddha-nature
emerges, it will shake ‘the world of ten directions.’” Whoever sees it will come to give a hand and help this person out unconditionally. In providing salvation to humankind, the Buddha School does not attach any condition or seek returns, and it will help unconditionally. Accordingly, we can do many things for practitioners. But for an everyday person who just wants to be an everyday person and to cure his or her illness, it will not work. Some people may think, “I’ll practice cultivation after my illness is cured.” There is no precondition for practicing cultivation, and one should practice cultivation if one wants to. Yet some people’s bodies have illnesses, and some people carry disorderly messages in their bodies. Some people have never practiced qigong. There are also people who have practiced it for several decades and still
wander about at the level of qi, but without making progress in cultivation.”
“What should be done about this? We will purify their bodies and enable them to practice cultivation toward high levels." (Zhuan Falun)
From then on, my kidney stone problem, as well as lumbar and cervical vertebra hyperosteogeny, which had bothered me for more then a decade, all went away without a trace. Prior to practicing Falun Dafa, I had blood in my urine frequently, and had to drag my body along to do my job. I was exhausted. During those days, I always drank wine at night to numb myself of my problems and to pass the time. I consumed at least one bottle each time. My temper was really bad and I easily threw tantrums over small issues that I was not happy about. Ever since I embarked on the path of Dafa cultivation, I have completely changed into a different person. I have also stayed away from smoking and drinking.
II. Workers in My Factory Never Catch Cold
My business is in the food processing industry. For this kind of business, it is a norm that you have temporary workers who have no commitment to stay longterm. However, in my factory, some people have been working for me for over a decade. There is also a phenomenon in my factory—no one has ever caught a cold while working for me. The workers attribute it to the blessings of Dafa. For example, there is a worker who used to vomit frequently, so I told her to recite, "Falun Dafa is good." She vomited only one more time after that. Several years have passed since then without the problem recurring.
III. I Was Not Hurt in a Car Accident
One day in May 2005 during a delivery, my truck flipped upside down then crashed into a big tree next to the roadway, which caused a big dent in the driver's compartment. It was the planting season, and the farmers from both sides of the road were shocked, thinking that I was definitely dead. They ran toward the truck. When they pulled me out of the cab, my head was covered in pieces of shattered glass, but there was not one single cut on my body. Someone said, “The truck is smashed to such a degree, but you were not injured at all. Do you have deities or Buddhas protecting you?” I told them that I was a Falun Dafa practitioner, and it was my Teacher who had protected me. Master said:
"If you truly follow the righteous way in cultivation practice, nobody will dare to do something to you at will. Besides, you have the protection of my fashen, and you will not be in any danger." (Zhuan Falun)
IV. My Business Is Getting Better and Better with Time
It is customary in my business to air-dry the expired products returned from the market, and reprocess them. Before cultivating Falun Dafa, I used to be a person fond of fighting; my competitive attachment was really strong. In order to grab and hold onto customers, I used all kinds of methods and tricks. However, ever since I became a Falun Dafa cultivator, I have dealt with things according to the Fa's requirements. In Lecture 4 of Zhuan Falun, Master said:
"In social interactions one will come across all kinds of conflicts. For those who practice cultivation among everyday persons, what type of business you are in does not matter. Regardless of how much money you have, how high your position ranks, or what kind of private enterprise or company you run, it makes no difference, as you should trade fairly and maintain a righteous mind. All professions in human society should exist. It is the human heart that is indecent, rather than one’s occupation. There was a saying in the old days: “Nine out of ten merchants are fraudulent.” That is a saying made by everyday people. I would say that it is a matter of the human heart. As long as your heart is righteous and you trade fairly, you deserve to earn more money if you make more effort. That is because you are rewarded for the effort you have put in among everyday people. No loss, no gain. You have worked for it. With any social status, one can still be a good person. There are different conflicts for people of different social classes. The upper-class society has conflicts of the upper-class society, all of which can be properly dealt with. In any social class, one can be a good person and care less for different desires or attachments. One can be a good person at different strata, and one can practice cultivation at one’s own social level."
Thus, instead of reprocessing the food, I fed all the returned products to the pigs. In the beginning, it was really difficult seeing a full truck of food being given away to feed the pigs. I guess that was to allow me to relinquish the attachment to gain. But when I stopped mixing expired products into my goods, the returned products became fewer and fewer. Now there is almost nothing being returned.
Before, I would get really angry whenever I saw a customer of mine selling the same product from others. Especially when I did my delivery after drinking, I would get overwhelmed with anger. I would rather not make any profit than lose a customer. After beginning cultivation practice, I always reminded myself with Teacher's words:
"Thus, our practitioners should be like this even less so, as a practitioner should follow the course of nature. If something is yours, you will not lose it. If something is not yours, you will not have it even if you fight for it." (Zhuan Falun)
When I find my customers selling others people's products, I just remind myself that everyone needs to make a living, and thus, my heart is calm inside. However, when I get home, normally, new customers have come in. This is especially true now, and my old customers are coming back. They say that because of my spiritual belief, they trust my products. This is as Teacher told us:
"If something is yours, you will not lose it. If something is not yours, you will not have it even if you fight for it." (Zhuan Falun)
The above are some accounts of the good fortune I have received through cultivating Falun Dafa. The Buddha Law is really boundless!
