Mr. Xiang Bin Taken to a Brainwashing Center After His Illegal Sentence Expired

(Minghui.org) A large number of officers from the Jiamusi City Police Department and Jiamusi Prison waited outside the prison, hoping to arrest practitioners who went there to take home Mr. Xiang Bin on May 13, 2013, the date he was to be released. The police also wanted to take Mr. Xiang, who had just completed a four-year sentence, to a brainwashing center to further persecute him.

Mr. Xiang's four-year sentence expired on May 13, 2013. However, before he was released, officers from the Heilongjiang Province Public Security Bureau and 610 Office planned to arrest practitioners who were picking up Mr. Xiang to take him home. Two officers from the Heilongjiang Province Public Security Bureau went to Jiamusi City to oversee the event on May 9, 2013. On the morning of May 12, over 200 officers and many police cars from the Jiamusi City 610 Office, police department, and police stations, went to Jiamusi Prison, and waited there for Falun Gong practitioners to arrive to pick up Mr. Xiang.

Officer Zhao Jinhua from the Penalty Department of Jiamusi Prison, along with officer Dong Daquan from the 610 Office, burst into the fifth ward to grab Mr. Xiang at 11:50 p.m. on May 12, planning to take him to the other officers from the Jiamusi City Police Department, but Mr. Xiang refused to go with them. He insisted on waiting until the next morning. However, Zhao Jinhua and Dong Daquan called guards from the fifth ward and another ward, along with a dozen other officers on site, and took Mr. Xiang away by force at 12:20 a.m. on May 13. As they were about to grab Mr. Xiang, Dong Daquan said, “He needs a spanking, pull him down from the bed.” Mr. Xiang asked them, “Do you dare to tell your names? I will expose what you did on the Internet.” None of the guards or police officers said anything.

Mr. Xiang was taken to a brainwashing center by officers from the Jiamusi Police Department.
