(Minghui.org) It was recently learned that Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Jiuhai, from the Pinggu District of Beijing, was force-fed unknown drugs by guards at the No. 6 Team of Xin’an Forced Labor Camp in Beijing.
Mr. Zhang was arrested by Changping District police as he distributed Shen Yun DVDs on a bus, on March 29, 2012. He was first sent to the No. 6 Team of Xin’an Forced Labor Camp in early May 2012, and one month later was transferred to the No. 2 Team which had specifically been set up to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.
The Xin’an Forced Labor Camp is located in the Daxing District of Beijing. Approximately 350 Falun Gong practitioners are detained there every year. Besides persecuting practitioners, this labor camp is responsible for transferring detainees around Beijing. Its police officers and guards are involved in slave trade. They “sell” practitioners to other labor camps for 1,000 yuan per person on an as-needed basis.
The labor camp guards continue to commit crimes by brutally persecuting practitioners with various severe tortures, including force-feedings, brainwashing, and sleep deprivation. Some practitioners have even been persecuted to death.
Mr. Liu Chun from Mentougou District of Beijing was persecuted to death inside Xin’an Forced Labor Camp on January 19, 2011. After he was illegally arrested at his friend’s home on September 28, 2010, he was sent there. The guards severely tortured him, trying to force him to give up his belief. However, Mr. Liu was steadfast and refused to sign a guarantee statement. As a result, the guards repeatedly tortured him until he died. His body was emaciated and there were large areas of erythema on his forehead and nose bridge.
According to the Minghui website, the following practitioners are currently detained in the Xin’an Forced Labor Camp.
Mr. Cao Dong from Beijing was arrested at his temporary residence on June 8, 2012. Using the excuse that the police found Falun Gong books in his place, the Beijing Forced Labor Commission sentenced him to two and a half years of forced labor, and sent him to Xin’an Forced Labor Camp.
Mr. Yu Hong from Beijing was subjected to torture in the No. 2 Team of Xin’an Forced Labor Camp. He was held in a solitary confinement cell and denied restroom use. In addition, the guards didn’t allow him to sleep, and forced him to sit on a small stool for long periods of time, which caused his feet and legs to swell. In order to resist the persecution, Mr. Yu held a hunger strike. However, the guards brutally force-fed him. Due to the severe torture he suffered, Mr. Yu was in poor condition and became extremely weak. Nevertheless, the guards still transferred him to a training team for further persecution.
Mr. Chen Sanhua from Beijing was sentenced to forced labor on January 8, 2013. After he was sent to the No. 6 Team of Xin’an Forced Labor Camp, he was monitored around the clock by inmates, and was forced to work all day long.
Mr. Liu Wei from Shunyi District, Beijing is detained in the No. 2 Team and has been subjected to brutal persecution. His wife Ms. Su Dan is imprisoned in the Beijing Women’s Forced Labor Camp.

Mr. Li Yuejin from Beijing was arrested by officers from the Xiangshan Police Station on August 2, 2012. He was subjected to two and a half years of forced labor in the Xin’an Forced Labor Camp. While detained, he refused to write the three statements promising to give up Falun Gong, and kept telling the guards the facts about the practice. However, the guards tortured him severely, causing him to have symptoms of heart disease and diabetes.
Mr. Liu Yongping from Xicheng District of Beijing was arrested at his home at around 7:00 p.m. on August 2, 2012. The police ransacked his home and found six Falun Gong books. They used this as an excuse to sentence him to two and a half years of forced labor in the Xin’an Forced Labor Camp. While detained, Mr. Liu was made to undergo blood testing, and was force-fed unknown drugs. The guards also persecuted him with sleep deprivation, and forced him to sit on a child’s stool for long periods of time, which led to his high blood pressure.
Mr. Hu Chuanlin from Beijing International Studies University was arrested and sent to Xin’an Forced Labor Camp on October 18, 2012. He was subsequently brutally tortured, causing him to suffer a mental collapse.
Mr. Qin Wei from Beijing was arrested by officers from the Haidian Police Department when he was teaching drawing to two students at his home on October 26, 2012. He was subjected to two and a half years of forced labor and detained in the No. 5 Team.
Ms. Meng Hua, Mr. Li Xiangding, and Mr. Si Xisui were arrested by officers from the Yongdinglu Police Station in Haidian District on September 26-27. They were later sentenced to forced labor, with Ms. Meng and Mr. Si being given two years and Mr. Li two and a half years. Mr. Li and Mr. Si were sent to the Xin’an Forced Labor Camp on November 13, and Ms. Meng was sent to Beijing Women’s Forced Labor Camp.
Mr. Hui Xueqian from Majuqiao, Tongzhou District of Beijing, was subjected to forced labor along with his father. They were both imprisoned at the Xin’an Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Hui Xueqian was first sent to the No. 6 Team, where then-deputy-head Chen Xueshi persecuted him physically and mentally using various tortures. Because he refused to write the three statements, promising to give up Falun Gong, Chen deprived him of sleep and brainwashed him for more than a month. Despite the persecution, Mr. Hui remained steadfast in his belief. Chen then transferred him to the No. 2 Team.
In addition to the aforementioned practitioners, Mr. Zhang Peirong from Hongmen Village, Xiangshan, Haidian District, Beijing; Mr. Gong Ruiping from Pinggu District, Beijing; Mr. Zhang Jie from Haidian District, Beijing; Mr. Tian Yucheng from Ningxia Autonomous Region; Mr. Li Yong from Hubei Province; and many practitioners whose names are unknown, are also detained in the Xin’an Forced Labor Camp.
