Former Financial Executive Repeatedly Arrested

 (Minghui.org) Ms. Li Dongxu previously worked as a financial executive for the East Petroleum Authority in Shenyang City. She was arrested at work on the afternoon of November 11, 2013, by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Shenyang Police Department and the Minglian Police Station.

Ms. Li was beaten at Minglian Police Station because she clarified the facts about Falun Gong. She was then transferred to the Shenyang Detention Center. Her 80-year-old mother has been doing everything in her power to obtain her release.

Defending the Practice She Has Benefited From

Ms. Li, 47, inherited several health problems that first appeared when she was a child. Hepatitis and tuberculosis stunted her growth, despite medication. Her older brother died at a young age from these diseases even after expensive treatment. Ms. Li began practicing Falun Dafa out of despair. Amazingly, she recovered her health, and even her disposition improved. This solidified her belief in Falun Dafa.

Ms. Li went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong after the persecution of Falun Gong started in July 1999. She was arrested and tortured Longshan Forced Labor Camp. To avoid further persecution after her release, she and her mother were forced to become homeless. She was arrested five years later and detained in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. She was hung by her handcuffed wrists, mentally abused, and constantly slapped.

Because of her belief, Ms. Li has never been allowed a moment's peace during the last 14 years. Her mother is 81 and constantly worries about her daughter's safety.

Most Recent Arrests

The Domestic Security Division of Shenyang City arrested Ms. Li on the afternoon of August 30, 2013. Her personal belongings, including computers, were confiscated. She returned home on the night of September 30.

Officers from the Shenyang Domestic Security Division and the Minglian Police Station came to her workplace on the afternoon of November 11 and arrested her again. When Ms. Li did not return home after work, her mother went to where she worked to look for her. She was in anguish after finding out that her daughter had again been arrested.

The next morning, Ms. Li's mother went to the Minglian Police Station, and happened to come across the officers who were transferring her daughter to the detention center. Within just 24 hours, Ms. Li had lost weight, and she appeared emaciated. She was not given anything to eat or allowed to rest.

Ms. Li's Mother, 81, Seeks Her Daughter's Release

Ms. Li's elderly mother goes regularly to the police stations to ask when her daughter will be released. The police station avoids all responsibility and claims that she was arrested by the Domestic Security Division of the Huanggu Branch of the Police Department.

When Ms. Li's mother goes to the Huanggu Branch of the Police Department, guards at the gate refuse her entry, say no one is there, and that all the officers are on duty at detention centers. This 81-year-old lady is given the runaround.

Ms. Li's mother weeps every day because Dongxu is her only family. To get her daughter back, every day she goes to visit many governmental departments, including the police departments, the Domestic Security Bureau, the interpol team of the city, and the city council. These daily visits have exhausted her physically and mentally.
