Additional Persecution News from China – December 1, 2013 (20 Reports)

 (Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 14 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 18 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Bazhong, Sichuan Province] Ms. Peng Huaying Persecuted

Ms. Peng Huaying, 48, worked at the Bazhong Bureau of Statistics. She was persecuted repeatedly by the 610 Office because she firmly refuses to give up Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong). She was arrested, detained, and fined 30,000 yuan. Her home was searched, and she was forced to do slave labor for 18 months. She was sentenced to three years of imprisonment and five years of probation. She was also dismissed from her job.

Ms. Peng and her father were deceived into going to the judicial bureau on August 28, 2013, where they were held, then transferred to a brainwashing center. They have managed to leave the brainwashing center with righteous thoughts.

2. [Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province] Mr. Yang Huizhou and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Yang Huizhou and his wife, Ms. Yan Rujuan, were arrested by officers from the Yucaijie Police Station on the morning of November 29, 2013. The couple runs an appliance repair shop at Heping Road, Shijiazhuang. Their home was searched and the shop was closed.

3. [Yanji, Jilin Province] Mr. Rui Kerong Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

Mr. Rui Kerong, Ms. Cui Yuzi, and Ms. Li Zhenyu are still being held in the Yanji Detention Center. Mr. Rui has been sentenced to three years in prison.

4. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Li Yinghua and another practitioner, Ms. Li, were arrested on the morning of November 30, 2013, by Captain Liu Jianxin from the Domestic Security Division and other officers from the Henan Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong. The practitioners were taken to the Tieling Detention Center.

Ms. Wu Yun and Ms. Zhao Sumei were arrested on the afternoon of November 27, 2013, and are being held at the Shenyang First Detention Center.

6. [Bangbu, Anhui Province] Additional Information about Ms. Liang Huaiyuan and Her Daughter's Arrests

Officers from the Huainan 610 Office and the Bangbu 610 Office searched Ms. Liang Huaiyuan's home and took her to the Yan'an Police Station at noon on November 11, 2013. She was tortured to the point of developing high blood pressure and heart failure. The police took her to a hospital nearby for emergency treatment.

Ms. Liang's daughter, Ms. Liang Yu, was also arrested and held in the Huainan Detention Center.

Mr. Wang Jinguang was arrested at the factory he owns on November 29, 2013. The police took his computer, printer, and other personal property.

Ms. Song Xiaofang was arrested by officers from the Chengguan Police Station when she was talking to people about Falun Gong at noon on November 30, 2013.

9. [Yiyuan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhu Wanfeng Arrested

Mr. Zhu Wanfeng, 42, is the director of internal medicine at the Yiyuan Chinese Medicine Hospital. He was reported to the police when he talked to people about Falun Gong on November 21, 2013. The police grabbed his laptop computer. Mr. Zhu was arrested on November 25, 2013.

10. [Longlin County, Guangxi Province] Mr. Huang Shengneng Detained

Mr. Huang Shengneng is in his forties and a teacher at the Shechang High School in Longlin Various Nationalities Autonomous County. Officers from the 610 Office of the Longlin Politics and Legal Affairs Committee went to the school and arrested him. Mr. Huang is being held at the Qinzhou Brainwashing Center in Guangxi Province.

12. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Additional Information about Detained Ms. Sun Yanxia

Ms. Sun Yanxia's family went to the Changchun Third Detention Center on November 28, 2013. They were told that the China-Japan Union Hospital had given Ms. Sun a CT scan, which showed that she had a tubal tumor, early stage cirrhosis, and insufficient platelets. Detention center officials asked her family to apply for a bail release at the Nongan Procuratorate. Ms. Sun is still being detained.

Ms. Yan Yuanrong was confronted as she was distributing Falun Gong flyers on October 26, 2013. The person who confronted her, along with three others, took her to a police station.

14. [Zaoyang, Hubei Province] Ms. Shi Guangyan Detained

Two plainclothes police officers arrested Ms. Shi Guangyan at the store she owns on November 18, 2013. She was taken to the Wuhan Brainwashing Center.

15. [Shanghai] Ms. Tang Hong Arrested

Ms. Tang Hong, 55, was arrested at her daughter's home by officers from the Tangqiao Police Station in the New Pudong District on November 29, 2013. The police took her laptop computer, printer, and electronic book reader.

16. [Jinzhou, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Yanqiu Critically Ill

Ms. Wang Yanqiu was arrested as she was distributing Shen Yun DVDs in July 2013. She is being held at the Jinzhou Detention Center.

Ms. Wang's blood pressure reached over 200, and she fell down on the afternoon of November 28, 2013. She has myoma of the uterus and severe anemia.

17. [Wulanhaote, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zuo Jinxia Detained

Ms. Zuo Jinxia was arrested at her sister's home by Chen Guodong and other officers from the Wulanhaote Domestic Security Division at noon on November 21, 2013. She was taken to the Wulanhaote Detention Center.

18. [Daqing, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Kong Xiushi and Ms. Wang Xiaomeng Taken to Prison

Ms. Kong Xiushi and her daughter, Ms. Wang Xiaomeng, were arrested when they were talking to people about Falun Gong on March 11, 2013. Officials of the Gaoxin District Court of Daqing sentenced the mother and the daughter to three and a half years in prison on June 25, 2013. They were taken to the Harbin Women's Prison. Ms. Kong is being confined in a special monitoring team.

19. [Nanjing, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Li Anning Arrested

Mr. Li Anning was arrested at home by the local police on November 22, 2013. The police took his computer, cell phone, Falun Dafa books, etc. His whereabouts are unknown.

20. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Four Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Yan Jingyou and his wife, Ms. Wang Yalan, were arrested in Wuxing Residential Area at Qingnian Road, Changchun, by police officers from the Kuancheng District on November 29, 2013. Their whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Huang Shuying and her son, Mr. Tong Bo, were also arrested at the same time.
