(Minghui.org) It was a sunny day and the sidewalks were packed as Falun Dafa practitioners from Vancouver once again appeared in the Hats Off Day Parade in the City of Burnaby on June 7, 2014.
The Falun Dafa entry, comprised of the Divine Land Marching Band, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance float, exercise demonstration group, and Waist Drum Team, was among the 80 groups that participated in the event.
Burnaby City Councilor Paul McDonell thanked the practitioners for their positive contribution to the community.

Falun Dafa Entry Brings Positive Energy
“The Falun Dafa practitioners participate in the parade every year and I am familiar with them,” said Maria, a senior media correspondent who attended the parade. “Their entry definitely adds great value to the parade.” She said that Canadians are proud of their multicultural society and respect for cultural heritage.
“Falun Dafa practitioners are a part of Canada and they actively participate in community activities. The golden costumes of the Falun Dafa Waist Drum Team shine like dazzling sunlight and bring positive energy to inspire people,” said Maria.
“I thank Falun Dafa practitioners for bringing beauty to the community,” she said.
Another spectator named Nina said she already knew about Falun Dafa as she has coworkers who study the practice. Seeing the group in the parade for the first time, she was impressed. She enjoyed the music, costumes, and peaceful exercise movements and said that they certainly deserved their good reputation.
